Hello everyone! It’s so good to be back with you today! Yesterday, I had something unexpected come up, so I was unable to spend these precious moments with God and with you but today, I can say that it’s so good to be back and I’m truly looking forward to our time together.
The other night…before going to bed, I was listening to a Christmas song, from a group called “The Martins” and it was talking on how God is the light of the world…a light that can penetrate the darkest moments of circumstance and bring the uncertain moments to light.
As I was thinking more on this, I was also thinking back, to how God allowed the brightest star to become the light that would lead many to the true Messiah. Even in the darkest of nights…with no street lamps to light the way to Bethlehem; God allowed a bright star to shine down from the heavens…a star that would lead the shepherds and wisemen directly to the place where Jesus lay.
Just think…if God had the power to shine the brightest star down from the heavens, so others could find the true Messiah; then don’t you think that He is powerful enough to walk through the darkness of our circumstance and see what lies ahead of us?
You know…we can walk through moments, when the circumstances we experience, can seem like the blackest night. No matter how hard we look ahead of us; it seems that all we see and experience, is the darkness that surrounds us; but recently, I actually experienced a moment, when God had walked ahead of me and warned me of an obstacle in my path; that I probably would have never seen, until I fell over it. As God began to answer the questions that were troubling my mind at the time, I began to feel as if God had taken me by the hand and was slowly walking me through the darkness, of what I was experiencing.
Can you imagine what would have happened, if the shepherds and wisemen would have never followed the star? I think this is a pretty easy question to answer because they would have never found what they were looking for, which was the true Messiah. In a similar way, when we aren’t willing to allow God to become the light; that can lead us away from the darkness; then how are we ever going to experience God’s best. It was only at a moment, when I let go of the reigns to my circumstance; that God stepped in and became the light that illuminated the dark moments around me…the moments that were truly weighing me down. Once He had control over the circumstance; that is when He began to show me things that I probably would have never discovered for myself.
You know…if we were just as willing to look for the light of God’s presence, as we do, while walking through a dark circumstance; then just think how much easier these difficult moments would seem.
Just as the wisemen and shepherds followed the star, to the place where Jesus lay; we too, need to look for that bright light; that can lead us away from the dark moments that are keeping us in a prison cell of despair.
Have a great day & may God truly bless you, with the light of His powerful presence!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
