Hello everyone! Welcome back to another writing, on Moments Spent with God! I thank God so much, for the words that He shares with my heart…words that can encourage, uplift and strengthen us, while facing some very difficult times in our lives.
The past couple of days, I have had a battle within, like I haven’t had in a while. Seems like Satan has a way of feasting on the weaknesses in our lives and one of mine is trust. I have had so many people in my past let me down; that sometimes, I find that Satan is trying to get his foot in the door of that area of my life, as a means of keeping that weakness alive.
One of the things I have come to see lately; is that Satan can get us so wound up into thinking about what needs to be done in our lives; that before we know it, we end up way ahead of God…taking charge of the situation. Instead of walking side by side with God, we tend to take the reins of a problem and hold tightly to them, as if we are the only one who knows how to handle the problem. The only problem with that; is that we find out in the end; that this method of handling a problem only leads us further away from God and the peace that keeps our world alive.
After a few days of holding tightly to the reins of this ministry, I let go and you know what? The minute I let go of everything, my whole day began to fall into place, with a peace that made me realize that God was back in control.
Let’s face it…we all fall into this trap from time to time. It seems like we start out with a bit of confidence, in what we feel we can do and then before we know it, we find ourselves walking down a detour road away from God. While we are holding the reins, to what we felt we could handle; God is becoming even more distant from us, which only makes us feel alone and lost within a world of our own.
Today, we need to realize that nothing is going to go our way, when God isn’t leading the way. The reins that are attached to a problem, can attempt to drag us down pathways; that eventually lead us to Satan’s desires, rather than God’s desires. Instead, we need someone who is strong enough, to hold the reins and have control over these problems that just seem too difficult for us to handle.
For the past few days…Satan has attempted to have control over my life; but today…through this writing, I am throwing a fiery dart back in his direction and I’m letting him know that I have caught on to his deceitful ways.
Today, you may also be holding tightly to a problem…thinking that if you let go; then something is going to get much worse; then what it already has. Maybe you don’t have enough trust in God and maybe you fear that He won’t be able to work out your problem for you, in the way that you desire. The only way you are ever going to trust God and truly know what He can do for you; is when you can let go of the reins to a problem that is only dragging you down and truly believe that God is more than capable of taking control over your situation. Believe me…I know from experience; that when the reins of your problem are handed over to God; you will then be able to settle back, with a peace that says…my God is truly in control.
I pray with all my heart today; that we all will find the strength to hand over the reins of our problems to God!
Blessings on your day…
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
