Hello everyone! I hope that your day is off to a great start and that you will discover a true connection with God, as you walk throughout the day!
As I’ve been sitting here…listening to some music and spending some quiet moments alone with God, I began to think on what it would be like, to be in a place, where the presence of God didn’t exist. In other words…we already know that we are going to face tough and trying times but to be in a place, where there is pain and deep heartache…without a God that we need so much…would just be so hard to imagine; but yet sometimes, we put ourselves in that place, by the way we think and react to our problems.
How is it that we choose to walk down unknown paths…just because we think we know the way? Don’t we realize that moments such as these are taking us away from the presence of a powerful God, while placing us in unknown territory, where we become a decoy in the presence of evil?
There have been times in my life, when I’ve wondered why we cry out to God and then leave those moments, to become distant from the God we need the most? Could it be that we grow impatient with God or could it be that we just want to quickly get over the pain and heartache that we may be experiencing at the time? No matter what we’re thinking, one thing we need to remember; is that our actions are either going to bring us closer to God or put Him in the background of our lives.
I remember a time, when my life was so out of control, due to some deep embedded pain from the past. Never did I realize at the time; that my words…thoughts and actions were only taking me to a place that made me distant from the One that I needed the most, while placing me in a world of my own…a world where Satan could easily work on my weaknesses. It was only at a time, when my eyes were open to this; that I began to exchange negative thoughts and words, for something positive; that could truly draw me further away from the problem and closer to God.
I have come to see that when we have a true relationship with God; then we always find a need to be close to the One we love so much…especially during the troubled times. You know…here we have a good friend that can be trusted but yet there are times, when we choose to walk alone, in unknown territory and suffer needlessly, rather than clinging to the One, who can make all the hurt go away.
No matter what we’re facing today, we need to return to our first love…the One, who can walk with us down these difficult paths of trial. When we choose to turn to the best friend we could ever have, rather than making our problems a new friend; then we will come to see that no matter what we face in life, we will never be alone.
Have a great day with God…and God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
