Moments Spent with God with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Hello everyone! It’s so good to have you with me today, on Moments Spent with God! My prayer is that we will always find the strength…will and desire, to keep pressing on…no matter what obstacle stands before us.

Have you ever experienced a moment in your life, when you couldn’t see anything good at all; but yet there was still something nudging you along…letting you know that you were still making it…even if it was only a little bit? I have experienced this many times in my life…in fact, I even remember a moment, when I was at rock bottom and I can honestly say that I couldn’t see one good thing about that time in my life. As I looked into the bathroom mirror, I began to cry out to God and tell Him that I wasn’t making it; but within a moment’s time; He began to speak to my spirit…as though to say… “Diane, you are making it…you’re breathing…you’re standing…you’re walking…you’re functioning.” Every thought that God laid upon my heart at that moment became a reminder to me; that even though the circumstance was attempting to convince me that I was not making it through this time of trial…I really was.

You know…I am continually amazed, as to how God’s strength can keep us pressing on…even when we feel as if we will never make it through the difficult times in our lives. I have come to see that our moments of affliction can take us down to such a low level; that we begin to feel as if we are going through life on fumes; but isn’t it something, when God’s strength kicks in and takes over…at a time, when we feel as if all hope is about to leave us for good.

One thing that I have always held to, since I overcame so much within my life; is to never say the words… “I can’t.” To me, when these words are spoken; we not only alert Satan, to a time of weakness in our lives; but it’s as if we have used these words to put up a road block…where we keep ourselves from pressing on.

You know…God isn’t looking at how little we accomplish. Instead, He’s looking at our efforts to keep pressing on…even at the worst of times. When we choose to press on…especially when our circumstance is trying to convince us to give up; then we are sending two messages through this form of action. The first message is saying to God; that we are trying our best; but we need Him to step in and be the strength we lack. From there, the second message is being sent back to the one who afflicted us, which is saying… “No matter how hard you try…I’ll keep trying more.”

The moments of darkness that overshadow our lives can make us want to give up so easily.  We can feel drained and emotionally beaten and battered, by life’s experiences; but when we can take one step…one day at a time and keep moving…even though we don’t always know where we’re headed; then I know that God will lead us the rest of the way.

No matter what you’re facing today…never give up and never stop pressing on. The road may be dark and difficult to walk down; but when God sees that we haven’t given up on Him; we will soon find that God hasn’t given up on us.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
