Hello everyone! I would like to welcome you today, to Moments Spent with God! I pray that you’re having a good day and that while you’re here…God will truly touch your spirit with something very special…something that will help you to rise above the despair in your life.
Yesterday, as I began my day; I knew that I had a very busy day ahead of me…a day that would begin at around 4:00 in the morning and end, at around 11:00 at night. Even as I was pulling my tired body out of bed, I began to feel so overwhelmed by the tiredness I was experiencing; that I actually wondered if I could make it through my day. As one thought began to pile on top of another, I was already feeling weighed down…before the day had barely begun.
Once I caught on to where Satan was taking me, with all these thoughts; I began to shift my attention in God’s direction…knowing that His strength could definitely replace my weakness. Within a short time, I had fallen back on course with God and I not only felt His strength kick in; but I also felt as though He was ahead of me…making every detail of my day come together, as only He could do.
One thing that I was reminded of…out of this experience; is that our actions truly lead us in the direction we long to go. If we ask God for His help but yet we succumb to what is happening around us; then we will continue to go with the flow of a bad day or a difficult problem…while never reaching the place we truly long to be.
I remember a time in my past, when I would talk a lot; but never really do anything. In fact, my form of action at the time only came from my mouth; but then I began to see two things that I needed to do. The first was to go after what I longed for, rather than just talking about it. Second…I began to realize that God had no effort to crown with success because I hadn’t put forth any effort, to show Him what I truly desired.
You know…I have come to see how easy it is for us to be led astray by Satan…as though we are wearing a collar, while he drags us around by the leash. The only thing bad about this; is that we will never leave these places of bondage, as long as we are giving way to them and allowing Satan to have control over our lives.
I have come to see countless times; that the one who does nothing…experiences everything, which means that we have completely opened ourselves up to evil, when we stop pursuing and going after God’s best for our lives. We can’t just expect to pray and wait for God to drop the answer on our head. He wants us to meet Him at the place of despair; so He can work with us…to help us overcome these moments that are just too difficult for us to handle on our own.
No matter what you may be facing today…don’t give into it. Instead, let’s get up, with the strength of a powerful God and leave the muck and mire of the wallowing hole behind; so God can remove us from these moments of bondage. If we are begging for God’s help but doing nothing to show Him the true desire of our hearts; then how do we ever expect Him to see that deep desire we have to be free.
Today, I pray that we will stop talking and begin to do something that will relay a message to God that says… “Oh God, I need you so much!”
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
