Hello everyone! Welcome today, to another writing on Moments Spent with God! I am so glad that you stopped by and joined me, for some special moments alone with God! I pray that through these moments together; that we will truly come to connect with a God who loves us so very much!
As we begin, I would like to ask a question. Today, can you say that you truly trust God with your life? In other words, do you know without a doubt that God will never let you down...but will always be a God, who will be there for you?
One thing I have come to see throughout my life; is that it’s so easy to speak words of trust; but what happens, when something in our life comes crashing down? Are those words real or just words that hold no true meaning? The reason why I’m asking you that question; is because that’s the way I used to be. I was so good at speaking words to God and even to others; but the moment, when a circumstance hit me head on; it seemed like I walked way beyond the words of trust…I once spoke of…to fall apart with the problem.
I would say that within the past 5 years, I have learned so much…through some very hard times and as I look back; I have come to realize that I wouldn’t trade those moments for anything because what I learned didn’t just become empty words that I’m speaking of right now; but those moments truly taught me how to lean on God and trust Him with my life.
As I look back on my life, I can see where each difficult moment that was overcome through God became a stepping stone…stepping stones that have gradually led me to where I am today. We must remember one thing…we should never go backwards in life; but we should always be heading forward…even if it’s only baby steps. For each step we take forward…that’s one more lesson learned and with each lesson learned; our trust in God begins to build stronger within us, until we see…more and more, as to how we truly need God in our lives.
Trusting God isn’t just words we speak of…trusting God is something we gain, while walking through the difficult times. In other words, we don’t pray and say… “God, let me trust you?” Instead, we allow the painful moments in our lives to lead us more and more in God’s direction, rather than down a road that only leads us to further problems.
One thing I have always wondered and that is this…why is it that we accept Jesus to come into our hearts; but yet we leave Him there within the heart, while we attempt to go on through life alone? Don’t we realize that we have the greatest being living within us…the One who can give us instruction and guidance, as to how we can walk out of these difficult times? If we are never turning to God…thinking that we always have the right answer; then we are also saying… “Lord, you can live in my heart; but I’m sorry…I don’t trust you yet with my life.” How can we believe in God and know He’s real but at the same time keep Him hidden and tied up within the heart?
We may find it difficult to trust those around us; but we can definitely trust a God, who loved us so much; that He gave His all for us at an old rugged cross.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
