Hello everyone & welcome today, to Moments Spent with God! It’s so good to have you with me today and my prayer is that God will truly touch us, with words that can ignite our hearts and lift us high above despair!
One thing I can say about this week; is that everything has seemed to be a struggle for me to get through. It seems like there are days, when everything goes so well and then “boom”…it all explodes and all you’re thinking is… “What happened?” After a while, you can feel as if you are on a roller coaster ride…with a few moments up and a few moments down. After a while of experiencing days or even weeks like this…you just wonder…what is really happening?
Yesterday, I was talking with someone, who has been going through so much in their life…and as we talked; they were wondering why God would allow them to go back and forth, from the very worst…to something better and then back to the very worst and one thing that God laid on my heart to share with this person was this…when we are working with God, to overcome something from the past or even just to gain a closer relationship with God; then we are going to definitely face the opposition.
These moments, when we feel at an all-time high, are actually the moments, when we are connected with God, in a way that lifts us high above the struggles of life…a time, when God is sharing His richest blessings with us, through a personal relationship with Him. The problem we face; is when Satan gets wind of what direction we’re headed in and from there, he then begins to feel that it’s his job to lay a snare that will keep us confined and out of commission with God.
While facing these moments, we eventually come to see that we can either let these moments take us further down or we can continue to persevere through the tough times and allow God to show us how we can become stronger through the up’s and down’s of life.
Now the choice we must make; is will we allow evil to triumph over the good that we once experienced or will we override the evil in our lives, with the help of God, until we can reach that place once more, where we are closely connected to God and the best He longs to offer us.
These times that takes us from an all-time high, to an all-time low may be used by Satan to weaken us; but God has another plan and that plan is to make us even stronger through these difficult times; so it will make it that much harder for Satan to come at us again.
As I look back on my life, I remember many moments of weakness; but now I also see how those moments I once battled, have made me even stronger as a person. Yes…the battles can get worse at times because Satan is having to work that much harder to win the battle; but I have come to see that for each time I experience days like I have this week, I just keep getting stronger.
When our love for God is genuine and we find ourselves not just talking about God but loving Him, with a complete heart of love; then we will long to keep ourselves as close to Him as we can…no matter what comes our way. Today, I pray that we will never give up on life; but instead…may we always find ourselves reaching higher and higher, for a God who loves us so much!
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
