Hello everyone! I’m glad you came to join me today, on Moments Spent with God! I pray that we all will discover a connection with God today; that will inspire us and keep us going on that pathway to heaven!
Have you ever had a day that seemed like you were experiencing one battle after another…and I mean nonstop? Seems like no matter what I did yesterday, something was coming at me and doing its best to stop my ministry work.
Lately, I have been working on a brand new YouTube channel for the ministry and as I was working on a new video, it seemed like this was going wrong, while something else was going in a different direction; then where I wanted it to go…and to top it off, I somehow lost the video altogether and had to start all over. Even though I felt a little agitated and upset over losing my video, I still continued to press on but by time I quit my work for the day, I was feeling a little overwhelmed and frustrated.
Within a short time after quitting my work, I decided to go in and take a shower and soak my head. While I was getting around, it was as though I heard God within my spirit speak to me and say… “Diane, talk to me”…so I did. As I began to pour my heart out to God, I first told Him that I humbly needed His peace; then from there I began to tell God all about my day. I’m sure He got an ear full.
After getting around, I was blow drying my hair and within a short time, I began to feel a peace come over me, as God began to minister to my heart. Ever since that moment, I have felt His eternal peace flooding my spirit, while bringing me rest, from a weary day.
How many times are we going to hold tightly to the things that are upsetting us, before we decide to have a good talk with God? I find that a quiet talk with God allows me to pour everything out; that would otherwise keep eating at my heart and soul. There’s something about having a good talk with the Lord; that seems to empty us, from the weight of a heavy burden, while opening the heart, to make room for God’s perfect peace.
You know…there are many nights, when I feel on overload. Either the day has been overwhelmingly busy or just a lot to deal with. Either way…I find that sitting alone with God, in my office before bed, helps me to let go of everything from the day. Once I release everything into the hands of God and leave it there; then it’s amazing how I rest throughout the night.
I guess the thing we need to ask ourselves today is this; do we truly trust God enough, to leave the weight of our heavy burdens with Him for good? Believe me…the worst thing we could ever do, is hold tightly to problems that we don’t understand or know how to cure. When we think about it…the longer we hold to our problems…the longer we will find ourselves suffering needlessly.
When was the last time you had a good talk with the Lord? If it’s been awhile, I would encourage you to get alone with Him and pour everything out before Him…and don’t worry, He can handle it because He’s God!
Have a great day & God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
