Hello everyone and welcome back to “Moments Spent with God!” I just love this page because after all the business of the day, I can settle back and spend some quiet and precious moments alone with God. I hope that this day finds you well and I don’t know about you but I am looking forward to the words that God would lay upon my heart to write, for this brand new day!

As I’ve been sitting here in my office…listening to some music and starring out the window, I was thinking on how the struggles we go through are getting to be a little more difficult to bear. Seems like Satan is working overtime these days, to take us away from the God we need so much. If he’s not attempting to feast on one weakness in our lives; then it seems as though he is out to work on another form of weakness.

Lately, I have been really tired and I have found that even writing and connecting with God can be difficult at times because you see…Satan sees my tiredness as a weakness, which can make it easier for him to have control over my life.

One day, as I was sitting here working, I began to feel as if I was struggling for the words that God longed to share with me. I began to call out to God for help because I sensed that Satan was trying to have control over these moments. As I began to talk with God about what I was feeling; it was as if He began to speak to my heart and say… “Diane, put some music on and continue to share your heart with me.” As I did this, I began to feel the power of evil melt away, as God began to move in and give me the words to write.

How many times, do we feel the blows of evil hitting us straight on but yet we sit and allow those blows to abuse us emotionally, until we find ourselves wanting to give up? One thing God has reminded me of lately; is that there will be times, when we feel as though the connection we once had with Him is beginning to slip away, do to these struggles we face in life; but even though we experience moments like these; that doesn’t mean that we should just sit there and take it. I have found that the best way to reconnect with God, is to either praise Him…listen to some good music, with words that will be uplifting spiritually or talk with Him and read His word because you see…Satan doesn’t like that.

One thing we must always remember; is that when we fall prey to these difficult moments; then we are only allowing Satan’s power to be enhanced, in a way that makes it that much harder to get away from situations such as these. What we need to do today; is begin to find a way to reconnect with God. Just because our connection was severed between us and God…due to hard times; that doesn’t mean that it can’t be repaired and made to be even stronger.

If we are ever going to rise above these moments of despair and always find ourselves connected daily with God; then we need to pursue God, in whatever way we can, rather than always pursuing the problem. Once we make the effort to reach out to God; I guarantee that He will reach back and the connection that had at one time been severed; will now become as one with Him.
Have a great day with God!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
