Hello everyone and a big welcome to the new Risen Hope Ministries! I am so glad to have you with me today, on “Moments Spent with God” and my prayer today; is that we will discover a true connection with God, as we visit together!
How many times do we focus on everything that is going wrong around us? We talk about our ailments…our bad days and even the moments that bring us low. So today, I thought that maybe we could leave our problems behind and discover a way to truly connect with a powerful and loving God.
You know…God has become my best friend and I know that He is always there for me…just as He is for you. When I need Him…He never walks away from me. Even though my pathway becomes difficult and painful at times, I can say that God’s love never grows dim. He has become my sunshine by day and my moonlight by night. God remains close by, even when the clouds in my sky become their darkest.
Someday soon, I will finally walk the last mile of this pathway I’ve been on, for many years of my life and I will reach my destination in Heaven. As I stand before Jesus, I will fall into the arms of One so true…the One who always stood beside me and never walked away…the One who became my best friend. I will recognize Him because He will be the One with the scars on His hands and feet.
As I take in all the beauty that’s surrounding me, I will breathe a sigh of relief, as tears fall down my face. Then as Jesus turns to me; this is what I feel He will say to me, “Diane, I knew the pathway wasn’t easy, for I cried with you too. It’s all right now; it’s all over my child. You will never suffer again.”
From there, I see Him loosening the shackles of pain and heartache and as He removes the shackles…He exchanges them for a beautiful crown. As I walk into Heaven with Jesus, I begin to notice that I’m not limping anymore, and there is no more pain. The scars that once marked my body for so many years are no longer there and the rod that once stiffened my leg is gone and now I’m able to run again. I fall to my knees for the first time, as my eyes remain fixed on Jesus. As He gently lifts me up to my feet, He presents me with a beautiful white robe.
As I begin to walk with Jesus, I turn around for the final time, as Heaven’s gates begin to close. I begin to realize that I have truly reached my destination in Heaven, where I will never suffer with pain and heartache again.
You know…the trials we face in life, have a way of painting an ugly picture…a picture that seems to reveal no hope; but when we look at our trials through the eyes of God; then we begin to connect deeply with Him and see where these difficult moments will lead us one day, which in turn gives us hope and the will to press on.
Blessings on your day…
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
