Hello everyone! Welcome to Moments Spent with God...through the Risen Hope Ministries! As we celebrate Independence Day, I would like to share a very special story with you...a true story about my husband's life and death experience, on the side of a mountain.
As we prepare to celebrate the 4th of July...I think about all those, who have bravely served their country...just as my husband did, for many years. I have to say that I am very proud of my husband and no matter what he's been through; he continues to love and serve God through this ministry, by praying for all those, who post a prayer request, on this ministries website.
You know...God had a plan for my husband Keith and that plan was for him to be kept alive, so God could use him in my life, to take me away from the many painful moments I experienced...so I could begin again and find God in a real way...a way that would lead me to this ministry.
I pray that you will truly enjoy this miracle story; that took place on the side of a mountain!
May God truly bless you...Happy 4th of July!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
A Mountain of Miracles
When I was with an Air Force B-47 bomber strike force, in North Africa; I received a madeleine, with the Lord’s Prayer on it and I carried it with me, along with my dog tags on a chain, for 7 years, even though I was not a Christian at the time.
Later, I was working at Tiger Hill, in Northern Washington, when my truck brakes gave out. I was going in excess speeds, of around 100 miles an hour, when I was thrown out of the truck, due to the bouncing. Those who stood in a distance and watched me race down the mountainside said I looked like a rag doll, when I bounced off the ground. The injuries ranged from a hole in my side, to a shattered left clavicle, broken ribs, severe head injuries, spinal injuries, shoulder injuries, and a pelvic bone that was cracked in five places and the accident also caused my shoulders to lock up, so I couldn’t turn my head. After plowing through trees; that seemed like toothpicks flying through the air; the truck was only stopped by a grove of cottonwood trees.
I could feel the blood coming out of me and I was in severe pain, while my clothes became soaked in blood. I remember praying to God, with the Lord’s Prayer, from the madeleine. Without any control of my own, I began to forgive people and ask God to forgive me. I was in a place where I could sense the good and bad…quickly passing by me, in separate directions. Within a short time, I was being pronounced dead, by someone on the scene. I think it’s good to know that there were never any blood transfusions given to me on the scene or in the hospital. As everyone gathered around me, within a short time, I was brought back to life. While all of this was taking place, the ambulance wasn’t able to reach me, due to a flat tire. With all that happening, we figure that during the delay of the ambulance, this was the time, when God brought me back to life.
As of this day, I have lived much longer, than what the doctors first predicted me to live. Due to the severity of my injuries, the doctors thought that my life would be shortened, but through God’s great love he took me from a state of eternal death and He forgave me of my sins and was willing to walk way beyond my faults, to draw me to Himself, through His great love.
Later after the accident, I found out that some of those who had witnessed my life and death experience, had now become Christians. For the longest time, they continued to talk with me, about what they had experienced, during that awful accident, on the side of a mountain.
