Moments Spent with God with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Hello everyone! Welcome to Moments Spent with God! I pray that your day is going well and that you will truly feel a special touch from God, as you walk with Him throughout your day!

You know…one thing that I’m learning more and more with God; is to never get so deeply caught up in the difficult moments that stand before me. Isn’t it amazing how our eyes alone, can connect us to thoughts…set up by Satan, as a means of convincing us…as to how bad a situation can become, which in turn makes us leave our faith and head down a path of worry and fear.

It seems like the last few days, Satan has been pointing out every negative thing to me, as a means of bringing me low. I’m sure that you have experienced these moments and how tough it can be at times, to see anything good, after an experience like this. You know…we understand that God is much more powerful than evil; but one thing we must remember…evil does have power and Satan will do anything to distract us and keep us away from our connection with God.

Yesterday, as I sat in my office…looking out to a tree in our yard that has been struggling to stay alive; God began to show me how my circumstances can make me feel like that tree…barely surviving at times. From there, God began to show me that if I look at the condition of that tree, I will eventually begin to tell myself that even though that tree still has life in it; that it’s actually dead or that it’s going to die. In a similar situation, if we get too caught up, in dissecting every detail of our problem; then before we know it, we will be convincing ourselves that we aren’t going to make it through.

If we could only let go of our problems and say…“Ok God, I don’t know what’s happening; but I’m going to wait this thing out with you and see where you lead me;” then I’m sure we would find that hope remains alive, even during the dormant moments of circumstance.

Like I’ve said many times before…it’s not always easy being left out in the dark, during a trying time in our lives. It’s kind of like waiting for a doctor to come out to the waiting room and give us the final outcome, of someone who has just had surgery. One thing we can do, while we are waiting…and that is to continue to go on with life and let God walk us through the problem…one step at a time.

Today, I pray that God will give us the strength we need, to not become so caught up in the things that are happening around us; but instead, to sit quietly in the presence of God and wait for His next move. We must remember that no matter what the outcome of our circumstance; God always knows what’s best for us, which can be a great comfort, while facing these difficult moments.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
