Hello everyone! Nice to have you back with me today on Moments Spent with God! I pray that your day will be its best and that we all will truly feel a very special touch from God, as we walk throughout the day!
Yesterday morning became a very trying time for me, as I was dealing with a heavy schedule and a little bit of high blood pressure at the same time. Days like this can make a person want to shut everything down and just quit for a while; but as I began to collect my thoughts and sit quietly in my office…God began to speak to me directly.
As I began to share my heart with God…He began to share His heart with me and these are the words I jotted down, during these special moments spent alone with Him… “Diane, let me take care of you. I can make a way, where you see no way before you. I can take what has been broken and give you life brand new. Just turn to me, rather than yourself and I will lead you out of these paths that seem too difficult for you to face alone.”
After setting my ink pen down, I continued to read these words that God had placed within my thoughts. Later during the afternoon, I took hold of the tablet that had these special words on them and I placed the tablet on my chest and just closed my eyes in peace.
I wonder how many times we miss hearing from God, just because we have our minds set on what we’re going to do and what we think should be done? I have come to see that moments spent quietly with God, can not only become the remedy for anxiety or any other negative feeling; but these moments can help us to connect to the One we need the most, at that very moment.
How many times are we going to choose to suffer alone, when all we need to do is sit quietly in the presence of God and anticipate His loving presence? You know…all God longs to do is care so much for His children and help them through the moments that they cannot handle on their own. Maybe God doesn’t always answer our prayers, when we desire Him to do so; but He will be there to hold our hand and walk us through the moments that can sometimes seem so overbearing.
Today, you may be facing a giant of a problem and maybe you are sitting alone…feeling overwhelmed and out of control. First off, let me tell you that I know someone who is bigger than the giant problems that enter our paths and once we turn to Him…I know with all my heart that He will hear our beckoning cry for help and run immediately to us…but first we must be open to Him and shut ourselves off from the problem.
Just as God came to me today, during an hour of need…God is more than able to do the same for you. Just get alone with God and pour your heart out to Him…and don’t worry about whether He can handle your problems or not because He can handle it all. From there, anticipate His loving presence and I’m sure that He will also be there to comfort and sustain you, until this giant of a problem has moved on.
Have a great day with God and may His blessings fall down around you today!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
