Hello everyone! Today, I would like to welcome you to Moments Spent with God! I am so glad that you stopped by today and my prayer is that we all will come to know God in a powerful way…a way that will give us the strength to leave our problems behind, so we can focus more deeply on what God longs to do within our lives.
As I’ve been sitting here in my office…looking out the window and listening to some music, I was thinking back to a time, when as a very young girl, I used to lay on the ground…look up to the sky and think that nothing could ever go wrong and that the world would never come to an end. Since that time, I have walked through moments; that I never thought I’d have to experience in this life. Isn’t it amazing, how life can change so quickly, into moments that at one time could never be felt or seen.
You know…it’s not always easy to watch others or even ourselves go through overwhelming pain and deep heartache; but once the storm has passed…a new day dawns…the sun shines again and life continues on…only better than before.
The other night, I was spending some quiet moments alone with God, as I usually do before going to bed. As I was thinking on the people I was praying for, I began to feel overwhelmed and a deep hurt, for those who have been going through very difficult times in their lives. It’s not always easy to find the right words of encouragement; but God always seems to shine through this shell of a person and bring words that help to encourage others, during their time of need, which is a sign of His love and caring Spirit.
You know…sometimes, the waiting process can seem long and endless, as we wait for God’s timing to bring every broken piece of our lives back together. One thing I have truly come to see; is that most times, God doesn’t just drop a bomb on our heads and we’re healed; but instead, He looks for the flaws and weak points within our vessels and He takes the muck and mire, of what Satan brings into our lives and He molds it and works with it, until He has used it in a way that can strengthen us and make us stronger vessels for Him.
Through this life I have lived, I have come to see that there is no escape, from the battles and storms that rage within our lives; but God always seems to shine through the dark moments that we experience in this life and if we could only look at these difficult moments, through a set of eyes; that sees way beyond the pain and heartache; then we would truly find hope.
These shouldn’t be the moments, when we get so deeply engulfed within our problems; but instead, this should be the time, when we anticipate the work that has either already begun or is about to begin. Just remember one thing today…God never allows anything into our lives, unless He has a reason and a purpose for it…so if you are going through a very trying time right now; just know that God has a reason for these difficult times and even though He may feel a need to work in your life; He still has control and in His good time…He will make life even better, than before the trial began.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
