Hello everyone! It’s so nice to be back with you today! I hope that your week is going well and that you are truly experiencing a special touch from God, as you walk through your week! There is one thing that I have been so thankful for lately and that is just knowing that I have God to run to, when I experience a difficult moment in my day.
I remember a night, when I was getting ready to lay my head down on the pillow and go to sleep and it seemed like the day had caught up with me and I was feeling overwhelmed, by what had taken place that day. As I was just getting ready to lie down, I thought to myself; I am so thankful that I have God to talk to and from there, I began to open myself up to God and lay every need from the day before Him. After pouring my heart out to God, I began to experience a peace that brought those overwhelming feelings to a halt and from there; I began to rest in God’s eternal peace.
How is it that we find it so easy to run to the problem, rather than running to a God, who can shelter us in His almighty arms of love, while He takes over and begins to work with a problem that only He can solve? Seems like we hold on, until we can’t take it anymore, when all along, all we have to do is give our needs to God from the start. Just think…we could save ourselves, from so many moments of needless pain and heartache, if we would only run to God, rather than the problem.
Yesterday, I was facing some uncertain moments in my day and as I went to get around for my evening, it hit me…Diane, why are you trying to be tough and hold on to the reigns of this problem alone, when all you need to do is ask God for His help. At that very moment, I stopped and said… God…please replace these broken moments with your peace and from that moment on, I began to experience a dose of God’s loving peace.
You know what…we have the remedy to the pain and hurt that enters our lives but how is it that we don’t take advantage of this remedy? There’s no cost for this remedy and it’s available to us, whenever we need it but yet we choose to hang tight and try to muddle through a problem that is just too big for us to get through on our own.
Do you know that God can see into the depths of our hearts and He knows just the cure, for a broken heart and spirit? He not only knows everything about us but He’s standing before us…with arms opened wide and all we have to do, is run into His loving arms. When we choose to do this; He will hold us close and shelter us, from the storms of time, until He has made a better way for us.
Today, we need to ask ourselves a question. Why would God give up the closest One to Him…His Son, Jesus Christ…out of great love and forgiveness for us and then walk away, when we need Him the most? I truly believe that His Son died, to save us from needless moments of suffering but it’s up to us, as to whether we are going to choose, to walk into His loving arms or allow an evil leash to wrap itself around us and have control over our lives, while leading us into further paths of despair.
Maybe today, we need to attach a memo to our hearts…a memo that says…don’t forget to run to God. I don’t know about you but it sounds like a good plan. Maybe if we were to etch these words upon our hearts; then just maybe, we would quickly come to see that running to God makes a big difference in our day.
I hope to see you again tomorrow! Have a great day & God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
