Hello everyone! I hope and pray that your day is off to a great start! It’s hard to believe that we are now entering the month of February; but what a great way to begin a new day; then to also enter a new month with God!
Today, as I’ve been relaxing and listening to some music in my office, I’ve been thinking on why we tend to fall away from God, at a time when we need Him the most. Seems like when a problem hits us in the face, we immediately run to God and beg Him for His help but what happens from there? How is it that we tend to grow impatient with God and walk away from Him…only to turn to a problem that is already bringing us down?
As I’ve been thinking on this more, I’ve been thinking about a relationship between a husband and wife. Isn’t it amazing how a young couple can fall in love and feel as if nothing will ever go wrong; but then an obstacle enters their path and the true test of their love for each other begins. If the husband or wife’s love for the other isn’t strong enough; then they will be more likely to detach themselves from the other person and go their own way. In a similar way, when we aren’t experiencing a deep love for God; then our connection with Him isn’t going to be as strong as what we first thought, which will make it much more harder for us to trust God through the difficult times…which can eventually cause us to detach ourselves, from the One we need the most.
Today, we need to have a connection with God that says that we need Him for everything in our lives. This connection should always keep us closely in touch with Him and as we learn to lean on Him more, we need to truly believe that He will never let us down. When we can discover a connection with God in this way; then we will be less likely to go another direction or try to wing it on our own.
How many times are we going to suffer needlessly before we come to truly see that we are nothing without God. Maybe God doesn’t always answer our prayers, in the way we would expect Him to but we must remember that when we have a true relationship with Him; then we need to trust Him, as He already knows what is best for us.
Today, can we say that we have a relationship with God; that causes us to run to Him as our Father…a relationship, where we are sharing every thought and feeling with Him? I know in my own life; that it’s such a comfort to me, when I can go into my office and quietly sit with God, which also helps me to disconnect from whatever is happening at the time. Sometimes, I talk with Him and share my heart with Him, while at other times, I just sit quietly; but no matter what is going on between God and I…I know that we are truly connected, in a way that allows Him to hear my voice and for me to also hear His still small voice within my thoughts and spirit.
You know…we will never find a stable relationship with God, when we are always running back to our problems. Today, we need to realize that these problems we face are only meant to separate us and detach us; from the One we need the most. When we come to truly understand this; then these will be the moments, when we will be able to leave our problems behind, to build a strong connection with God; that can never be broken by evil.
Have a great day with God…and God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
