Hello everyone! Welcome…I am so glad that you came to join me today, for some very special moments alone with God! What a blessing to have God to turn to, while facing the difficulties in life!
As we begin today, let me ask you a question. Have you ever loved someone so much; that you were willing to do anything for that person? Well…today, I would like to introduce you to a love that walked beyond pain, ridicule and extreme suffering…all because His mind was filled with the love that He had for you and for me.
I remember a time in my life, when I felt as though all the pain and heartache I was experiencing had placed me into a deep dark pit of despair. Within my mind’s eye, I saw myself trying to climb out of this pit all by myself but as I began to put all my effort forth, into climbing the walls of that pit…I just found myself falling back to the bottom…where I first began. Finally, I gave in and began to see that I was never going to make it out of that pit alone; so I cried out to Jesus. Within a short time, I began to see a hand reaching deep into my pit of despair, from where I was sitting. As I looked up, I saw the nail scared hand that was attempting to help me and as I cried out the name “Jesus.” He began to speak to my spirit and say… “Diane, I was on the cross when I heard your cry and I came down to help you, for this was one of the reasons why I died.” As I began to take hold of His loving and strong hand, He began to lift me up and out of the pit that had kept me in bondage for so long and as I reached the surface to where He was standing, I began to feel His strong and loving arms around me and from there, I began to see that Jesus was the only One who could save me from that deep dark pit of despair.
Do you know that Jesus has you on His mind right now? He not only thought of you, while hanging on an old rugged cross; but that love that stemmed from a time of brutal suffering continues on and I believe that His love for you and me continues to grow each day.
Today, we need to connect with Jesus, in a way that will help us to understand the depth of His love for each one of us. It’s so easy to say… “Jesus loves me;” but to actually experience a love that is so opposite from this worlds way of love is much different.
Through the long years of pain and deep heartache, I came to see that Jesus truly…truly loved me. Even while doubting His love; He had a way of stepping in and working through songs…Bible readings and writings, to let me know that His love was real and alive for me. Never once, did He ever give up on me.
So many times, our circumstances can attempt to take us to a place, where we feel abandoned and unloved but when we truly open ourselves up to Jesus, we soon find that His love is a powerful love that we had never ever experienced before.
The next time you feel that God has forsaken you and walked away; take a trip back to an old rugged cross and connect with a love that was so genuine; that no amount of pain and suffering could ever compare to the love He had for you.
Blessings on your day…
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
