Hello everyone! Today, I would like to welcome you to Moments Spent with God…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that your day is off to a great start and I hope you will continue to come back for my daily writing…to see what God has for each of us…each day. My prayer today; is that we will never give up on God; but instead, we will always seek Him until we find Him.
No matter what we face or no matter how tough the trial becomes; it’s always good to know that God is there for us. He’s definitely a God that never slumbers or sleeps and is open to us 24/7…and even on the holidays. Who else could put everything to the side…just to spend time with us and be there for us, while walking through the difficult moments of life?
You know…I hear people talk about how they always have time for God…before beginning their day; but what about the rest of the day? Is it that we find it easier to talk to God, when we are available for Him or have we made our time with God, as though we are on a schedule with Him?
One thing that always helps me throughout my day…is just knowing that God is there for me. I could be sitting in my office…doing some work and I may stop my work…just to say… “I love you, Jesus” or maybe something is going wrong…so I turn to Him and rest my head on His shoulder, while seeking His help. There have also been moments, when I get some good…unexpected news and my hands go high into the air, while I clap my hands together and praise Him, for what He just accomplished within my life. Out of all these special moments that I have spent alone with God…I have to admit; that night time is my favorite time alone with God! This becomes a time, when I sit on the daybed in my office, with the lights dimmed, while thanking Him, for all the special things He accomplished throughout my day. This may also be a time, when I share my heart with Him or a special need that pertains to someone I talked to, during my day. No matter what…it’s just good to know that God is there all the time for me.
I have come to see; that when I am connected with God throughout my day; then I’m less likely to find myself connected with evil. Yes…I have felt some static within the connection I have with God; but I have also come to see; that nothing can sever or destroy what I have with God.
I wonder how God would feel, if we would truly take time out of our day, to spend with Him… instead of sending up a quick…fast paced prayer. We all have busy schedules, in this busy world or maybe our health makes it hard to speak…but just saying the name “Jesus,” creates a connection within itself…a connection that let’s evil know that it’s not welcome in the conversation.
If we are ever going to truly experience a personal relationship with God; then first, we must make time for this relationship to grow and become stronger. When we are willing to take the time, to share our day with God; then in return… He will always find the time, to be there for us.
Blessing on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
