Moments Spent with God with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Hello everyone! Welcome today, to Moments Spent with God…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that your day is off to a good start and that you will truly feel…know and experience the presence of a God, who loves you so much!

You know…sometimes we can find it difficult to experience the presence of God, while going through overwhelming and even frustrating moments of circumstance. These times have a way of making us feel lost…in a world of our own…a world, where only the problem and us exist.

As we begin to look deep within the moments that seem to have taken us down…we begin to feel as though we have fallen into a deep pit…with no way out. There can even be moments, when we feel as if God has forgotten us and left us for good.

I don’t know about you but I have experienced these feelings many times in my life. I guess that’s why I can go into such depth, when I write. No matter what we go through, there always seems to be something left behind…etched within the heart; that takes us back to moments such as these.

Even though we go to such depth, when it comes to a circumstance; there is also a bright side, to all we go through and that is the moment, when God steps in and proves to us that He had never left us or forsaken us.

Some of you may remember me mentioning this in the past; but I like to use this experience as an illustration because this was one moment, when I truly felt as though I was never going to return to the land of the living. This memory takes me back to a time, when I had collapsed emotionally, due to a sexual abuse that took place as a child. I would say that I had fallen so deep within a pit of despair; that I could no longer see any way out. As I sat in a hospital…looking down to the tile on the floor…I thought…ok Diane, this is where you are going to be forever.  I honestly could not see myself coming out of these moments…and even though God was trying to convince me that a time would come, when I would be free again…I just couldn’t see it or believe it.

Now it’s been 26 years, since I felt hopeless and alone…in moments that had stemmed from my past and even as I spend this time with you, I am once more reminded; that no matter what I face in this life…God will be there.

You know…it’s amazing how our circumstances can attempt to block out God’s presence, while trying to keep us in a world of despair. No matter what you may be feeling or experiencing today, just know that God is there with you right now. He has never left your side and I know…with all my heart; that when we look deep…through the dense fog of despair; we will find the light of God’s presence…shining down upon us…giving us the hope we need to keep pressing on.

No matter how long you have felt in a pit of despair, just know that a time will come, when God will walk close to the edge of that pit…reach down and lift you out of these moments of despair. Just remember…always look for God…connect with Him and let Him love you through these moments. I know from experience; that God will stand on the promises He makes to us all; that He will never ever leave us or forsake us.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…Diane
