Hello everyone and a big welcome, to Moments Spent with God! I pray that your day is off to a great start and that we will truly feel the loving and compassionate presence…of a God who longs to be there for us…no matter what we may be facing.
Have you ever had a day that started out great and then from there, you just didn’t know what went wrong? That seemed to be the kind of day my husband and I were having yesterday. As I sat in my office…thinking on the day, God began to show me that the moments that sometimes go from right to wrong, can even be His way of caring for us. We must realize that He is the only One, who can see down the path we’re walking on…and who knows…maybe God is allowing something to come to a halt in our day, so He can prevent something worse from happening….something that we cannot see.
You know…part of trusting God, is when we admit that we cannot see through the darkness, without His light to show us the way. Have you ever been at home and all of a sudden the power goes out? Our first reaction is to look for a candle or a flashlight…that is if we can find them without breaking our necks. Well, in a similar way…walking through the unknown moments of life can make us feel as if we are stumbling in the dark and the only way we are going to know that we will be alright; is when we allow the light of God’s presence to shine down the pathway and warn us of the obstacles that may be awaiting us.
You see…the moments, when we feel disappointed and let down in life…may have a reason behind them and may even serve a purpose. Instead of seeing the day as a complete failure, maybe we should see what could have happened or maybe even what purpose God was using these difficult moments for.
One thing I have come to see with God; is that He will never waste any moment in our lives; that would make Him a defeated God. In fact, I have come to see how even our mistakes are used to serve a purpose and with each difficult day; He teaches us how to lean on Him more, while showing us that He can create new beginnings…out of days that made us feel like a failure.
No matter what kind of a day you walk through, just know that when God lives within you; that He will always be one step ahead of you…looking for the moments that could otherwise bring defeat into your life.
The next time you question God, as to how life could go from something great…to something worse; ask Him first what He’s up to. I’m sure that He has a good reason, for everything He’s allowing you to walk through. Just trust His ways…because He truly knows what’s best, for each of us.
Blessings on your day…
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
