Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday…and welcome today, to Moments Spent with God…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that your day has been going well and that you will truly experience a special touch from God, while you’re here today!
One thing I have come to see in my life; is that I do my best writings, during the most painful…tiring or difficult times. You know…there are moments, when I feel as if I can barely hold my head up, due to the attacks that Satan places on me; but when I walk beyond these moments and still remain connected with God; that is when I learn the best and am strengthened the most!
How are we ever going to learn…grow and become strengthened through God, if we are always giving into these difficult moments we face. You know…it seems as though Satan knows just the right time, to come and put us down and weaken us…even beyond what we feel already; but we might as well realize that when we fall prey to these moments, we only become weaker and weaker.
Today, I was reading a favorite Bible verse in Psalm 42:5, which has always helped me through the difficult times…and we read… “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.” In other words…what this Bible verse is saying; is that there is no reason to be down and out, when there is a powerful God living within us. Don’t we realize that the God that lives within our hearts as Christians; is much more powerful than the weak problem that stands before us? Instead of being down and out about the problem, we should be praising God, for the help He can give us through the problem.
You know…I don’t know about you…but I seem to get attacked the hardest, after God has used me to encourage someone. I’m sure that Satan hates what I do and so he works overtime to bring me low; so I can’t be there to be used by God, in a way that can uplift someone else in need. One thing I’ve learned through moments such as these; is to get an attitude and not allow Satan to have the upper hand. One thing for sure…we cannot get an attitude with the Most High God; but we can with Satan and I think that if we would stand up to him, rather than wallow down before him; then we would see how that alone could make Satan powerless in our lives.
We all have struggles in this life and it’s only natural to feel sad…alone and even frustrated; but today, we need to remember; that these kinds of responses to our problems are only going to weaken us more. If we are ever going to come out of our pits of despair; then first, we need to walk beyond the pain and heartache and focus on a God that is much more powerful than the problem. I have come to see that the times I experience God the most…are the moments when I’m leaning on His strength and pressing on, through the crumbled and broken pieces that lay before me, due to my problem.
You know…we have no excuse for being down and out; but rather, we have hope…hope in a God of great strength and power and I believe that when we choose to rise above despair and meet God at His level, rather than the level of our problem; then these will become the moments, when sadness will begin to turn into joy…a joy that will cause our hearts to rise up and praise a powerful God.
Blessings on your day!
