Hello everyone! Welcome today, to Moments Spent with God…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so glad to have you with me today and my prayer; is that we will always feel the presence, of a powerful and loving God in our lives each day!
You know…I remember times in my life, when the pain from all the surgeries and the past began to take over my life, in a way that made me feel so alone…as though it was just me and the problems. In fact, there could have been 100 people in that room at the time; but yet I probably would have still felt so alone.
One day, as I was talking with God about my feelings; He began to work through my heart and show me that I was missing one main ingredient…and that was Him. You see… I had become so attached to what I was facing at the time; that there was no room for hope…happiness or even God’s presence to enter…because I was trying to fill all the emptiness, with my own man-made thoughts and ideas, rather than allowing God to move into those empty voids and make may life complete.
How many times are we going to try and wing it through life alone…before we see that God longs to fill each empty and lonely moment in our lives with Himself? Don’t we realize that God would never ever allow us to go through any moment of trial, without Him being there, to hold our hand and guide us through the moments that could so easily make us feel abandoned and alone?
From my own experience, I believe that God is already there for us; but when we allow our circumstances to become more predominant over the presence of God; then it’s as if the circumstance has moved in and formed a dense fog; that keeps us from experiencing the presence of a God who is already longing to be there for us.
I truly believe that once we catch wind of this and begin to let go of the hand…of a circumstance that is attempting to have control over our lives; that from there, we will begin to see God move in and fill all the empty and broken moments…completely with Himself.
To me, our circumstances can seem so much like an illness; that drains us of our strength and can even make us weak in spirit; so we need a remedy…something that will replace the weakness with strength; so we can heal from these moments and continue on in life…and the only remedy I have come to find; that will truly heal and restore is God.
In order that we may receive a healing and be restored spiritually and emotionally; first, we must be willing to allow God to enter the empty voids within us; so He can work to restore what has made us spiritually ill. Once we grab hold of God and let go of the circumstance that is attempting to take us down and out of commission with God; that will become the time, when the moments of loneliness and abandonment, will be turned into an inner peace that will put our minds…bodies and spirits, at rest with God.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
