Hello everyone! Happy Thursday & a big welcome to Moments Spent with God…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so glad that you decided to stop by and join me today, as we spend some one to one time with God! My prayer for you today; is that you will truly come to experience a connection with God; that will help you to rise high above despair…to a place where you are further away from the problem and closer to God!
Have you ever had a friend, who truly understands your heart…your feelings and most of all, what you are going through? We all meet new people from time to time and with some people…new relationships begin to sprout and take root; but one thing I can say for sure; is that I have never had a friend like Jesus Christ.
After going through many years of pain and deep heartache, I have learned many things and discovered new growth in my life; but one thing I never thought would happen; would be the time, when my pain…problems and deep heartache, would actually push me in Jesus’ direction.
You know…there are some people who turn to drugs and alcohol, to suffice the deep embedded problems their facing and there are others who choose to go their own way and give up on God completely; but it was just about a month or two ago; that I truly discovered how I came to be where I am today.
As I look back on my life, I always felt that my problems were going to take me down for good; but what I thought was about to defeat me actually taught me how to be stronger through my weakness...never realizing at the time; that this new found strength would also teach me how to pursue and pursue, without giving up.
I remember a time in my life, when I only worked for second best. I guess I was facing a little depression at the time, due to all that I was going through and never realized where it was taking me. At that time in my life, it seemed to be more of an emotional survival and because of that, I hadn’t found the strength I have now, through Jesus Christ; so I guess Jesus felt that He needed to push me along and that’s what He does sometimes…not as means of hurting us or weakening us further; but rather, as a means of strengthening the weakened areas of our vessel.
Throughout this time in my life, I journeyed with Jesus for many years and as I learned more about His strength and how I could become stronger through the weak moments; I also gained a new friend along the way…a friend who may have had to show a little tough love to me; but a friend who never gave up or abandoned me, along the way.
No matter what you may be facing…let Jesus use your situation, to point you in the right direction. If you are weak today…let Him exchange your weakness, for a strength that will keep you standing…a strength that will make you more like Him. And as you journey with Him through this time…get to know Him and connect with Him, in a way that will keep you distant from your problem. One thing I know for sure…when we see Jesus as everything we need; then He will truly be the friend, who will be there to give us everything we need.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
