Good evening everyone...and how was your day!? I hope that you had a nice Wednesday! It's been a great day here...and much wisdom has been gained, as I spent more time writing this afternoon! God is just so good...and I love Him so much!!
You know...we all have nights, when we lay our head on the pillow and everything from the day seems to rush through our thoughts. Some of these moments we experience can even instill fear within those thoughts and cause us to stay awake, while we toss and turn, with the cares of the day.
One thing I love about God; is that when I am afraid...and life seems uncertain...I can take my thoughts away from these disturbing moments and connect with God. There's something about resting in His almighty arms of love; that truly takes every worried thought away from us, as the mind begins to be soothed and relaxed, by the presence of One, who can truly turn these overwhelming times, into perfect peace.
You know...there are times, when my mind is so busy throughout the day; that I find it difficult to shut it down at night. In fact, there was a night, when I spent my whole entire night in a dream...where I was looking for a computer key...and you won't believe this...it was a blank key...lol.
Anyways...the thoughts from the day can overwhelm us at night, while allowing all kinds of feelings to creep in through those thoughts. One thing that has truly helped me; is to turn my thoughts away from the moments that are attempting to have control over my night...to focus on God alone. I've even asked Him to stay in my room until morning...or I've asked Him to hold me close...or even cover me, with His almighty wings of love...and you know what...He does it...and before I know it, I have come safely and peacefully through the night.
No matter what entered your day...and no matter what you're feeling right now; just turn away from the thoughts that are attempting to debilitate you and keep you distant from God...and instead, turn directly to God and let Him be what you need right now; so you can get through this night...and one thing I know...He will do just that!
As you prepare to close your day...I pray that the peaceful presence of God will surround your bed and give you sweet rest. May His loving arms hold you close to Him and bring you safely through this night, until you have reached another new day!
Have a great night with God...and I will hope to see you tomorrow!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
