Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Monday to you all! As I sit here this morning in my office…I am looking out to the beginning of a cold crisp new day. As I see what appears to be an abnormal autumn, with leaves in the trees and a dusting of snow on the ground…I am realizing that beauty can still be seen, even though everything appears to be unknown to me.
Yesterday, as I was spending some time with God; He began to show me that we as humans tend to judge the final outcome of a problem by what stands before us, rather than looking beyond the problem, to see the good that could arise through these difficult times. I have come to see that when we react to a circumstance in this way; then we not only limit the power of God in our lives; but we also miss out on a hope that can help us to pursue what may be around the corner…for with God, there is always more to come. As I was searching God’s word this morning, for a Bible verse or two that would encourage us today; He first led me to a verse in Jeremiah 29:11, which reads…“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. When we take this verse apart; the Lord is actually telling us that He knows what He’s doing…for He is God…and no one can rise above Him and change these plans of hope…and the good future that He has in store for us. So many times, I think we become caught up in the bad moments that are taking place; that we find it difficult to see anything good coming out of that situation. As we focus more and more on every bad moment that now stands before us; it’s as though we stop in our tracks…to wallow in these negative thoughts, which only opens the door for Satan to step in and lead us further down a path of deep despair. As I continued to think on the thoughts that God had placed upon my heart yesterday; He led me to a Bible verse in I Corinthians 13:12, which reads…“ Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.” The one thing that God is reminding me of today; is that we don’t always view our circumstances in the way He does. In fact…we may have moments, when it appears as though a dense fog of circumstance is surrounding us, which can make it seem as though we are peering through a mist…or the unknown that may arise out of these difficult times…so rather than pursuing what may lie beyond this dense fog of circumstance; we tend to accept what is surrounding us, while allowing it to dictate our thoughts. You know…maybe we may have moments when we struggle to understand the reason, as to why God may be allowing us to walk through some difficult times right now…and maybe we may struggle to see beyond these moments; but we must remember that God isn’t always finished with what is taking place at the moment…and just maybe there is more to come…something that just may not be seen at the time. The hope we can live with today; is that no matter how dark the storm…or how dense the circumstance may appear to be…a time will come, when the sun will shine brightly again…a time, when these difficult moments will be clearly seen and understood, in the way that God sees us. As we close, I pray that we won’t judge the outcome of our circumstances by what is standing before us; but rather, I pray that we will come to see that God isn’t finished with us yet…for there is more to come. God bless! It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Comments are closed.
