Hello everyone! I hope that your week is off to a good start…and even more, I pray that we all will hold tightly to our faith during these difficult times; that we may truly experience God above all else…Amen!
You know…a true test of our faith in God is actually during times such as these. This is when we either see a faith that is rooted deep in God…or a faith that wavers in the winds of circumstance.
As I have been sitting here today…listening to some music and seeking God’s word for guidance; He led me instantly to a Bible verse in Hebrews 10:23, which says… “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised ;)”
Sunday morning, while my husband and I were spending time together with God, we were talking on something similar to this subject and God began to open up my heart and share with me a beautiful example of what can happen, when we allow our faith to waver in the wind of circumstance and this is what I jotted down… “Let’s say that we are walking down a bright and beautiful mountain road with God and up ahead we see a darkened tunnel. Now as Christians, we should say to ourselves… “Now this dark tunnel isn’t a problem for me because when I reach that place in time; then God will make a way for me to walk me through that darkness;” but many times, we choose to take a step ahead of God and predict what may happen once we reach that darkened tunnel, which only predestinates what will take place…so then from there, we actually see the things we predicted come to pass…and why? Because first of all, we got ahead of God…and second of all…the thoughts that made us predict what would happen, actually allowed Satan to bring them to reality.”
One thing I’ve learned in life; is that we need a faith that is solid and rooted deep within the soil of the heart; otherwise, when a storm arises; that is when we will be tossed to and fro with our thoughts and feelings. You know…it’s so easy to say that we are a Christian; but the true test of our faith and Christianity is when we can find ourselves standing strong in the Lord…no matter what may arise.
Recently, I have been listening to the president speak on the Coronavirus…and as of these past two days, it doesn’t seem to be looking good; but you know what…we can either let Christ rise up within us and keep us strong in Him, while trusting Him to do what’s best; or we can find ourselves struggling to stand strong, while falling for every negative word that comes our way; in other words…wavering in the wind of this circumstance.
I don’t know about you…but all I need to be reminded of right now; is that I serve a faithful God. Maybe this circumstance is attempting to present itself, as a mountain that is much greater and even more powerful than God; but if we were to slow down and look close at the situation; then I’m sure that all we would come to see; is that this mountain is only a form of weakness…trying to present itself as something much greater; when all along, it will never compare to the power and strength of our God.
No matter what you experience this week…don’t listen to the voice of circumstance; but rather, turn to the One who can be strength for you, during these difficult times; that you may have a steadfast faith…one that never wavers during times such as these…Amen!
Today, I pray that your day will be totally blessed by God…and just know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers! Remember…stand strong in God…and I will hope to be with you soon!
Many…many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
