Risen Hope Ministries | Inviting a Hand of Hope into Our Day

9/21/2020

Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Monday to you all! I sure hope that your week is off to a great start…and that God will truly bless everything you put your hands to do…Amen!!
Today, I have already been busy…even before writing you. Usually, I start my morning off in the office and then I go to my kitchen, where I prep food for dinner…so as I left my office this morning to go to the kitchen, I did something different. I had some homemade chicken and rice soup in the freezer; so that was easy enough to do…as I just had to put it in the fridge to slowly thaw. From there, I decided to cook up some hotdogs but I didn’t have any buns; so I made up some homemade bread dough and French braided some wraps around the cooked hotdogs…and boy did they turn out great! From there, I ground up some homemade bread that I had dried out and made my own Panko crumbs…and then I finished it up in the kitchen, by making some cherry vanilla granola bars. Wow…no wonder I’m tired; but I have to admit…I love being in my kitchen and when God blessed me with a gift to write…He also blessed me with gifts to decorate our home and create recipes of my own. In fact…I tell Keith that it was a packaged deal…lol.
Anyways…as I sit here now with my feet up…enjoying a beautiful day outside my window; I am reminded as to how God is always there for us…that is, if we invite Him into each moment of our day.
Like I’ve said in the past…I not only invite God into my office; but I also take Him with me wherever I go…and what a great feeling to know that He is always there to pick up the slack, when I am in pain…or when I’m just not feeling my best.
A Bible verse that God has taken me back to today is found in Romans 8:31 and we read… “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Just think…if God is for us; then He will long to be with us in everything we do…and if He is with us; then what can come against us and especially this most powerful being. I have found that when I take God with me…no matter where I go; that everything just falls into place…and just knowing that He is close by…brings comfort to my heart.
Sometimes, I have a hard time figuring out why we try to muddle through life alone. In other words…why wouldn’t we want to include the most powerful being, into every moment of our day?
You know…life isn’t always easy…and believe me I know; but I have truly come to see that a day and even a whole week can truly fall into place…where we can look back and see the beauty that came forth, from what we once saw as impossible…simply by inviting God to be there with us and for us.
No matter what we face in life…and no matter how long we endure these moments…a ray of light can shine into the darkest day, when we just simply allow God to walk with us and be everything…for everything we need. I have truly come to see that He does pick up the slack and can even show us how to see life in a less difficult way. His presence can also bring comfort and strength and cause us to rise above despair, rather than always standing face to face with it. He is a God who can help us to overcome the impossible and can make the final result seem so much better, than what we first thought or imagined.
If we could only take a minute or two and invite God to share in the moments that seem so difficult to get through; I truly believe that we would crave His presence more and more, as we journey through life.
As we close our time together, may I encourage you to stop looking at the impossible and start looking into the eyes that can make all things possible? When we are willing to let God stand in the gap for us; that is when I truly believe that life will be seen in a better light…one that can continually bring hope to us, as we walk from one day into another…Amen!
Have a great day…and may you truly find God to be someone greater than the problems that attempt to bring you low! God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
