Hello everyone...I truly hope and pray that your weekend is off to a great start! As I'm sitting here this morning...my mind is reminiscing back to a time, when I had emotionally fallen to the bottom of the barrel. All hope was gone...and I mean...ALL hope was gone. As I laid on a bed...completely numb to this world...the thing that God taught me through it all; was to release my feelings and not allow them to be stored deep within the heart, as I did most of my life. I'll tell you...when a person does that; then those feelings become an open target, for Satan to prey on.
Anyways...through time, I learned to write through the tough times...and I guess that was my way of emptying out everything, while laying my heart before a powerful God. In other words...it was my way of saying to God... "I can't fix this...but You can."
This morning...as I woke up, from an exhausting time of rest...I laid on the bed for a short time and wondered where I truly am with this ministry. It seems as though time...pain and a hard life, has taken a toll on me. One thing I can say though...is that God has kept me suspended above these hard times...but sometimes I think we find ourselves so caught up, into all that has taken place in our lives; that before we know it...we have ourselves convinced that we are exhausted...and we can no longer do the things that we have done, for so many years of our lives.
One thing God is reminding me of this morning; is that I don't have to figure out...even what is to take place today; because He is the One, who has been in control of my life, since the day He created me; so when we think of it...He's doing all the work...and all we have to do is follow. When we can slow down and get a tighter grip on moments such as these; then we find that we once more have the will and desire to press on.
Each day, we need to make it our aim in life, to quit lagging behind God...or getting too far ahead of Him...and just simply let Him lead the way, while we simply follow Him...and when we think of life in this way; we find that life really isn't that difficult.
In Matthew 6:34, God is reminding me of this..."Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Just think, as to what life could be like...if only we would quit worrying about what's up ahead...and just start walking in sync with God...one step at a time.
I guess we all need these little reminders in life, from time to time...and as I have once more poured my heart out before God...I truly believe that this is His response to me this morning. I hope and pray that these words have also been of encouragement to you too!
Well...time to enjoy a little time off. I hope that you will truly experience the presence of God in your day...and always know that life is easier, when we walk in His footsteps...one step at a time.
Many...many blessings on your day!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
