Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Sunday to you all! I truly pray that your day is going well…and that your day will be a day of peace and good things from above…and even more, I pray that you will truly connect to a God, who longs to be the complete remedy, for whatever you may be walking through at this time…Amen!!
As I sat in my office last night on the daybed…trying to get a painful foot to settle down; I was talking with my husband and God really began to open up my thoughts and with that, I began to say to Keith… “How is it that when God offers us a remedy…for whatever need we may be facing at the time; we seem to take His response and say, “wow”…only to go back to the wallowing hole of despair?” There have been many times…while facing pain, tiredness and other problems in my life; that God seems to reach out to this weakened spirit...and that is what He seems to be doing today.
I remember a time in my life, when I was at rock bottom. There was not even a glimpse of hope…only a darkened pathway before me; that is, until I began to take God’s word and search for the help that I so desperately needed. As I began to seek and seek, with all my heart; God began to lead me to Bible verses that truly began to bring me alive. In fact…these verses became the lifeline I clung to…a lifeline that truly kept my head above the troubled waters…and as God continued to lead me to more Bible verses of hope…they not only became a “wow factor” to me; but I actually reached out…took hold of them…and then I ran with them.
When a Bible verse or some other moment strikes a chord within the heart; do we lose out on what it can truly offer us, by leaving the hope so freely offered behind…to turn around and walk back to the problem? I think that a lot of times, we are looking for God’s remedy…our way. In other words…if God doesn’t help us, in the way we think He should; then I think we go back to the problem…thinking that we just haven’t found the right remedy yet.
This morning, as I was looking through some Bible verses…God led me to a Bible verse in Psalm 25:10…and we read… “And when we obey him, every path he guides us on is fragrant with his loving-kindness and his truth.” How do we know that God is offering us the right remedy, for these hurtful moments in our lives? Well…what I have come to see; is that His remedy will truly bring us alive, even in the midst of despair…and the thoughts…Bible verses…etc., will truly stand out loud and clear before us…and once we take hold of what He is offering us…to run with it; that is when the darkened path of hopelessness, will once more become a fragrant path…one that will guide us to the truth that can free us from despair, while leading us to His very best.
One other thing God has placed on my mind this morning; is that if we don’t take up on what He is freely offering us…from His heart to ours; then Satan just may get wind of these moments…and the next time around, may not be as easy to overcome…for when Satan gets wind of how God is working to restore us…I believe that he will work even harder to keep us away from the remedy, we so desperately need.
No matter what you may be facing today…it doesn’t have to remain that way; for I have come to experience a God, who longs to be the complete remedy for these hurting times. The question remains with us… “Are we willing to take a tight grip on what God is so freely offering us…and run with it…all the way; or are we going to choose to continue on in the suffering…waiting for something that has already been given to us?
Today…as we walk through another beautiful day…given freely to us by God; can we say that we are open to His will for our lives…or are we still waiting for Him to do it our way? From experience…may I encourage you, to first open yourself up to God completely; then look for what He’s offering you…and then from there…look for what He has placed before you…grab it quickly…take a tight grip on it…and run with it all the way…AMEN!!
Well…it’s a beautiful day outside…and God has given me this beautiful day to rest; so for now, I will say good bye; but I will hope to be with you again tomorrow! Please take care…enjoy your Sunday…and I pray many blessings…on every minute of your day!
