Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Sunday to you all! What a great day the Lord hath made! Maybe the skies are gray outside…and maybe my health isn’t always its very best…but I thank and praise my God this morning, for loving and sustaining me through it all…AMEN!!
How is it; that we wait until something goes right, before we take a moment to thank God for His goodness? Today…I would like to lay aside everything…and just give praise to my God…the One who helps and sustains me each day…Praise Him!!
You know…if I was to sit here right now and focus on every little thing that seems to be bad in my life, I could probably think of at least several things to talk on; but I am learning more and more that no matter what is going on around me; there is ALWAYS something that has already happened within me…something to praise God for!
Last night…as I laid my head on the pillow and got comfortable, I began to thank God for the soft bed and pillows and the warmth of the blankets and the home. Maybe I was tired…and not feeling my best; but I came to see that these moments could have been much worse, without the things that I had just praised God for.
This morning, as I was looking through some Bible verses online, I came across a Bible verse in Psalm 13:6, which reads… “I will sing to the LORD, because He has dealt bountifully with me.” You know…the part of this Bible verse that caught my eye, was where it says that I will sing unto the Lord because He has dealt bountifully with me. In other words…I am rejoicing on the things He has done through time…which has become more than what I tend to see with my own eyes.
How is it that we have to experience something big…before praising God? One thing I truly know without a doubt; is that a heart of praise…for the things we have already received from God; can truly become the key that unlocks and opens our hearts up to even more…that the Lord longs to do for us. I believe that when He can see that we are thankful for the little things in life; then He will bless us with even bigger things. Also…as I’ve said before…praise can become a powerful weapon…to rid us of evil, while destroying the works of darkness. In other words…when we can praise God, for what we already have; then I truly believe that this opens us up to God and keeps us even more distant from Satan.
This morning, I was thinking on the snowstorm we had the other day. My first thoughts were…oh no…I need to get to the grocery store next week…and with all this snow; it’s going to be very difficult for me. Finally, I backed off and began to thank God for the warmth and safety of our home…and the food we already had. As of yesterday…God did something amazing…because a warm wind began to come in and before we knew it; over half…of the large amount of snow was now gone…and to top it off…before bed, a plow came down our street, which is sometimes rare. Some of you may think that those things could just happen on their own; but I don’t believe that. I believe that God already sees the need of the heart and once we are willing to let go of fear and doubt…and praise God for the goodness that He’s already blessed us with; then that is when there will be more room for God to work.
No matter what you’re going through today…praise God! One thing I know from experience; is that when we stop and think on the little things that God has already blessed us with; then our hearts do find a reason to praise Him.
Well...I’m going to go and spend some time with God and my husband and enjoy a nice meal…and then rest. I truly pray that your day will be its very best…and that you will come to see the little things in life that you can praise God for…Amen!!
Have a great Sunday…and God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
