Words of Encouragement That Will Help You To Keep Pressing On

12/10/2020

Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Thursday to you all! I’m so glad that you stopped by for a visit today…and as we begin our time together, I pray that we will once more discover a piece of hope to hold to…one that will help us to keep pressing on…Amen!!
While recently taking some time off to rest, I decided to get outside a little bit and leave everything behind in the office. I have wanted to have a couple more feeders in the backyard, to help the birds through the winter…and to also give me something peaceful to enjoy while writing.
Anyways…Keith helped me put some thick branches in the ground that had fallen during a storm…and then we screwed some platform feeders on top…and wow, did they ever turn out nice.
After getting everything in place, I began to have squirrel problems. Don’t get me wrong…I love squirrels; but I don’t like it when they attempt to take over everything in the yard.
After thinking over what could be done to help the problem…Keith and I once more went outside and did what we thought would fix the problem…only to discover that these few squirrels that had been causing the problem, must have been up in the trees…studying what had just been done.
I’ll tell you…there were several times, when I just wanted to quit…but you know what…there was something deep within me that was telling me to not give up…so I continued to pursue and pursue…and now, I can actually say that I feel that the problem has been resolved…and the yard has even more of a rustic winter charm.
Anyways…as I was looking out the window this morning and thinking on all that has taken place these past couple of days; God was also reminding me of a Bible verse in Galatians 6:9, which says… “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
During these difficult times we’re facing, it can be so easy to want to give up. In fact…I think that there can be times, when we see this as a means of escape…one that can relieve us of what is taking place in our lives at the time; but we must remember that even though giving up may seem to be the easier route…it never takes us anywhere. In fact…it just places us in a standstill, which keeps us from the blessing that God has awaiting us, at the end of the trial.
You know…we all face times, when we just seem to get so tired of pursuing something that seems to be taking us nowhere; but we need to remind ourselves that even though life has taken a different turn…that turn may be what is going to lead us to something better, than what we may be experiencing at this time…and get this…we will never find out what God has awaiting us, if we continually sit in the middle of the path…focusing on everything that has placed us there…believe me, I know.
Today, you may be walking down a darkened road…one that has shown no light of hope for quite some time. Maybe this road just seems to be leading you nowhere; but may I encourage you today by saying that every road does lead to other roads…roads that can lead us away from these darkened moments, to experience the sunshine of God’s goodness…so don’t give up; but instead, continue to press on…because you will never know what God has ahead of you, until you reach that place in time.
Have a very blessed day…and may God always give you the will and the strength to press on…and never give up…Amen!!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
