A Mountain of Circumstance...

5/25/2018

Bible readings...
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2-4
“It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.” Psalm 119:71
“I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.” Job 42:5
“Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word.” Psalm 119:67

Hello everyone…and a big welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so glad that you were able to stop by for a visit today and my prayer; is that we will truly come to experience a hope that can take us above the problems in our lives!

Have you ever faced a problem that seemed as tall as the highest mountain and all you seem to say to yourself; is how am I ever going to get to the other side of that mountain? I can see it all now…we’re standing face to face, to what seems to be the highest mountain ever. As we stand there, with our hands on our hips, while looking straight up to the highest peak of that mountain…we just shake our heads and begin to think…what’s the use.

I’ll tell you…I have seen some pretty high mountains in my life…and they weren’t here in Washington State. In fact, the mountains I have experienced in my life were so high; that at times, all I could seem to do was cry, in a moment of desperation. Isn’t it amazing where our minds and our hearts take us…at a time, when everything seems way out of control?

One thing I have come to see, while facing these high and steep mountains; is that God can use these mountains at times, to put us to the test. In other words…what is our first reaction, when we walk straight ahead, into a mountain of problems? Do we fall apart and panic and allow these feelings to have control over us or do we find ourselves immediately crying out, to a loving and merciful God?

You know…I think one problem we have, while coming face to face with a mountain; is that we are too busy sizing up the mountain of problems that stands before us; that before we know it, we have convinced ourselves that nothing or no one could ever get us over that mountain.

You see…when a mountain stands before us and we don’t have the strength to climb it or a way to get around it and all hope seems to be gone; then this truly gives us a reason to call out to a God, who can lift us up and over these mountains that get in our paths…but on the other hand…when we choose to sit in the middle of our path and let the mountain have control, while giving into the problem; then we will only remain in a standstill with that mountain of circumstance. The choice is up to us.

We need to remember that nothing can be greater than the power of a mighty God…no matter how big the problem may seem. Maybe we don’t know the way over these mountains and maybe we don’t have the strength to even try; but I know a God, who can transport us over these mountains, with wings of love.

No matter what you may be facing today…and no matter how tall that mountain may seem; just know that it was put there for a reason…and God just may have allowed it to be there; to see if you would take the time, to call out to Him for help.

You know…God longs so much to be there for you…as a father is there for his child. He knew that there would be times, when we wouldn’t be able to withstand Satan’s blows; so He promised in His word; that He would never ever leave us or forsake us. Now the choice is yours. Will you allow these mountains to have control over you and eventually defeat you or will you take a little time, to simply call out the name of Jesus? We can make life so difficult on our own and truly exhaust ourselves of life itself; but when we choose to use the situation, as a reason to call out to God; then I know He will come running and be there for us all…at a time, when we truly need Him the most.
Blessings so much on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
