All We Need Has Already Been Done...

8/3/2018

Bible readings...
“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16
“Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.” Psalm 37:3-5
“Three times I pleaded with the LORD to take it away from me. 9But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:8-9
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello everyone…and a big welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! It’s so good to have you here today and my prayer for you; is that you will truly come to see that God can be everything….for every little need in your life!

You know…we already understand that God has the power to do all things; but what happens, when we just don’t see anything happening? Do we feel as though God has stopped loving us or that He has abandoned us? How is it that we feel that God always has to meet our need, in the way we foresee it happening? I remember a time like this in my own life, when I was overwrought by moments of pain and heartache. Nothing seemed to be going right and even more…there was no cure coming my way. I remember crying and crying, until there were no more tears to cry, while I begged God continually for a cure to my problem…never realizing at the time; that God was all I needed.

In 2 Corinthians 12:8-9, which is one of our Bible readings for today…we read… “Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.” In this reading…Paul begged God three times, to remove the thorn of affliction that Satan had placed upon him; but God’s response was “my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” In other words…God had a plan to use this thorn of affliction in Paul’s life and even though God’s timing wouldn’t allow this thorn of affliction to be removed; God was reminding Paul that He wasn’t going to abandon him; but rather, His grace would be enough to see Him through the difficult times.

You know… I have come to truly see; that what we see as our own way out of a problem, may not always be God’s way of relieving us from the problem. Maybe He just wants us to want Him, even more than the healing.

Don’t we realize that all we truly need; is what Jesus has already done for us? This is what I have come to truly see throughout my own life…and even though I never received a healing; God’s grace has ALWAYS been there for me…to see me through the struggles and challenges, of a life that lives with disability…and what’s even more important; is the way God has used my disability for Him; so that His power can be seen through my weakness.

You know…we must remember that when we give our lives to God; that they are no longer our own; but rather, they are ruled by a God, who has a plan for each of our lives…and sometimes, in order that His plan may be accomplished; we may just have to rely on His grace to see us through…but oh…praise God that we have His grace, through these difficult times! Today, may I encourage you, to let your circumstance teach you how to love God even more!

Blessing on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
