“I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. 12 I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings. 13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God? 14 Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people. 15 Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.” Psalm 77:11-15
Hello everyone! Happy Sunday and welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…thru the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that you’re enjoying your day and that you will truly find God to be everything and always in your life!
You know…when we look back over 1000 years, we see a God who has never changed, since that moment in time. His strength hasn’t weakened and His ways have never wavered…and most of all He’s still the God, who was not only in our yesterdays; but is also in our todays.
How is it that we forget the moments, when God did something very special within our lives? To me, it’s just as though we received a gift and after time, the emotion that once came with the gift began to slowly leave, until the feelings that we once felt for that gift became a thing of the past.
Don’t we realize that we need to keep these special moments alive within us; so when we are once more backed up to a wall of despair; then we will be able to reminisce on moments that can once more fill our minds and hearts with hope? I have come to see within my own life; that when we are able to look back to the times, when God rescued us from a situation that had at one time seemed impossible to be freed from; then we will begin to see that the same God, who brought us through that overwhelming moment, can now do the same, for what we may be facing today.
One thing I know for sure; is that we all need hope during these troubled times and how are we ever going to find hope, when we find ourselves following after the problem? When we choose to follow after our problems, by the way we think and respond to the problem, we are only going to find that we are being led astray to further problems. Today, we need to know how we can find the hope that we can hold to…a hope that can lead us further away from the problem and closer to God.
I truly believe that Satan’s way of keeping us connected to our problems; is by getting us to focus deeply, on each symptom of the problem. As we begin to see each symptom of the problem unfold before our very eyes; he works to overwhelm us and bury our thoughts with the problem, until we grow discouraged and can’t find a way out, which can cause us to give up completely.
No matter what you are facing today; look for a time in your life, when God was definitely there. Focus on all He did for you and once you find yourself caught up in these moments…I truly believe that a ray of hope will begin to enter your heart once more.
You see…sometimes, we just need to see our problem in a different light and give our thoughts a chance to see that there is a way out…and that way out is through Jesus Christ. When we begin to focus on all that God has done for us in the past; then we will begin to believe that He can once more do all things, thru these present moments of despair.
Blessings on you Sunday!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
“No, I will not abandon you or leave you as orphans in the storm—I will come to you. 19 In just a little while I will be gone from the world, but I will still be present with you. For I will live again—and you will too. 20 When I come back to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.”
Hello everyone! Welcome back to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that you’re having a nice Sunday and that you will never feel alone, while facing the trying moments of this life; but rather, you will truly feel the presence of a loving God…always close and ever near to your heart!
Have you ever been caught up in a circumstance; that really made you feel as if you were all alone, as an orphan on a stormy sea? I have come to see that moments like these not only come, when people walk out of our lives; but also, the circumstance itself can take us to a place, where we feel lost and alone…no matter how many people are in the room at the time.
I remember a time in my life, when I had been juggling surgeries…pain and even some depression. As I lay in a bed in our living room, while recovering from surgery, I began to stare off into space and as my thoughts began to sink deeply into how lonely I felt at the time; God began to show me that the loneliness I was feeling, was not due to being alone; but rather, it was because I had gotten sidetracked, in the midst of all this rubble…to the place, where I was leaving God out of everything I was going through. In other words…I was walking alone through these dark valleys and that was the real reason for the loneliness I was experiencing at the time.
You know…we can experience moments, when friends and family walk out of our lives because they just can’t seem to understand what we are going through and moments like these can make us feel as if we are stranded and alone, on a stormy sea of problems. One thing we need to remember; is that the thing that makes a situation like this even worse; is when we don’t allow God to walk into these moments and be the God and close friend we need, during these difficult storms. I guess, we tend to believe…deep within the soul; that if others can’t understand what we are going thru; then how will God ever understand; so we don’t take the chance at opening ourselves up to God; but rather, feel that it’s safer to try and whether the storm alone.
I remember a time in my own life, when my circumstances made me feel as if I was all alone, on a stormy sea. Satan definitely had the troubled waters raging around me, as I stood on what was left of my life. As I looked off into the horizon, the clouds seemed to become even darker and I began to feel, as if I was about to go down within these troubled waters, for the final time. Finally…out of desperation, I cried out to God and within a short time, His presence came to me and held me close, until the troubled waters ceased to rage no more. From there, He took my hand and walked me to a path that has led me to where I am today.
As we close our time together today, I want you to know that no matter who has walked out of your life…or no matter how your circumstance has made you feel alone within yourself; there is a God that will never walk away and leave you as an orphan in the storm; but rather, He will come to you and hold you close and help you to weather the storm, until it ceases to rage no more…believe me, I know.
When we are willing to let go of everything except for God and allow Him to be the Father…to us as orphans in the storm; then these will become the moments, when the darkness and loneliness will leave, while a ray of hope will clearly begin to shine brightly within the heart.
Blessings on your Sunday!

“But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour…” Isaiah 43:1-3a
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13
Hello everyone and welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that you’re having a good day and that you will truly feel and experience the presence of a powerful God, as we spend these precious moments alone with Him today!
As we begin, I would like to say first; that I missed our time together last week because I was taking a week off with God. Lately, I had been really tired and just needed a time of refreshment with Him; so I took quite a bit of that time during the week, to just sit in God’s presence and allow Him to rejuvenate me and bring me back to where I longed to be with Him.
While I was off…spending time alone with God, I came to see how easily we can get sidetracked in life…to the place where we actually don’t know where we are at the time and how we got there. As I’ve said many times before…it’s only through our weaknesses; that Satan gains power, to work in ways that can attempt to overtake us.
During these uncertain moments in our lives, we can become so overwhelmed and weighed down, by what is taking place in our lives; that we begin to feel as if the troubled waters that surround us, are about to overtake us for the final time.
One thing I was reminded of, while I was off last week; is that God’s love is so great, when it comes to His children; that His love will instantly step into the troubled waters with us…to save us…even before we call out His name.
I remember the moments so clearly…before taking last week off. I was not only tired but my chronic pain had increased quite a bit and between the two of them, I began to feel as if I could barely keep my head above the troubled waters. I remember sitting in my office one day and saying to God…I need you so much! Well…He must have heard that cry for help because His love actually came running to me and before I knew it; I was taking a week off…to spend it with Him.
From there, God began to show me where I had gone wrong and as we faced these difficult moments together, I began to slowly feel myself being lifted up and out of the waters of despair. One thing though…I definitely found that this could only take place, when I became humble before Him…admitting my failures and weaknesses. You know…how many times, do we attempt to hide our problems or walk beyond them…only to ignore them? Don’t we realize that moments such as these are only going to put us deeper into the troubled waters?
Today, we need to allow God to lift us up and walk us beyond the troubled seas and darkened valleys and once we are willing to humbly let Him do so; then His strength alone will remove us from the difficult moments in our lives…to place us up on the mountaintop with Him, where we can remain above the problems we face, rather than standing face to face with them.
Once we are willing to let go of everything, except for God; that is when we will experience a touch of heaven…a time, when we no longer walk the path of anxiety, doubt and fear; but rather, God will place us on a new path, where we leave the darkened moments behind, to walk in the light of His love and peace.
Blessings so much on your Sunday!
