Hello everyone and a big welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! It’s so good to have you with me this week…and my prayer; is that we will truly come to experience a God, whose presence is always there, for each and every one of us! Praise Him!!
You know the circumstances we face, can sometimes seem so long and drawn out; that after a while, we begin to wonder where God is. In fact…these difficult moments we face can make us feel as if God has abandoned us and left us completely alone with the circumstance.
I remember a time in my life, when I was dealing with a lot of emotional problems. The sexual abuse that I had experienced, at a very young age had now resurfaced, which only enhanced some of the dysfunctional moments of the past. As I began to deal with moments that seemed way above my head…my own family walked away, which only made me feel more abandoned in life…even more than what the circumstances themselves had attempted to do.
After finally getting the right kind of help I needed…to come out of a messy past; it seemed as if the circumstances and memories that I was dealing with at the time began to take such a toll on me; that I began to feel as if I was in a world of my own. I even began to feel that if others had walked away, at a time when I needed their support the most; then God would probably do the same…but you know what…He didn’t.
As I sat one day on my bed, with tears falling down my cheeks…until there were no more tears to cry; I happened to notice my Bible sitting on the edge of the bed…not too far from me. As I reached over to take hold of it; the verse that stood before me…after opening the Bible, read… “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. (Psalm 34:18)
After reading this Bible verse…I began to forget about what was bothering me at the time and instead, I actually began to look around the room and out the doorway…because, from that moment on, I knew without a doubt; that God had entered one of the most difficult times of my life…and you know what…from that moment on, I have never been the same. In fact…when I face a difficulty in my life…God is the first one I run to.
No matter what you’re facing and no matter how much of a struggle it has been; just know that God is there for you. The circumstance definitely has a way of making us feel lost and alone; but I have truly come to know a God, who will never abandon any one of us; but rather, He will walk on the stormy waters…to enter the moments that just make life seem so overwhelming and alone.
Today, may I encourage you to turn away from the feelings that are attempting to take you further down…and instead, run into the arms of a God, who’s always been there for you!
Many blessings on your day!

“Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. 22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.” Psalm 33:20-22
“For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.” Isaiah 64:4
Hello everyone! Welcome back this week, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! It’s so good to have you here again this week and my prayer today; is that we will find hope…in just knowing that God is continually at work within our lives, while we wait on Him, for the answers we so desperately need!
Throughout the long and difficult journey that I have faced in life, I have come to see how it can be very hard to wait for God’s response to a need. I think that if we all were to be honest with ourselves…we as humans just don’t like to wait for the answers that we feel we need…to the questions that stand before us right now.
While facing years of counseling, for sexual abuse and the numerous knee surgeries that made me feel as if I was headed nowhere…along with the many other struggles and challenges in life; I came to see this time of waiting, as if I was actually in a waiting room…waiting for God to step into the room…to give me His response, to all the brokenness in my life.
Many times, I don’t know if I was actually waiting on God to give me a response to my needs or if I was slowly giving up…because at first, I never felt the need to press on or even praise God, in the midst of it all. Many times…I think we find this time of waiting, as a time to sit and focus on our problems and where they may be leading us; but I have come to truly see that this isn’t what we should be doing. Instead, we should find ourselves doing two things. First…we should be giving praise to God…and you ask me why? Because a heart of praise becomes a positive message…from our heart to God’s heart, which says that we know that He’s got full control of each circumstance; so it can be made into something that will cause us to be more closely connected with Him, while being able to move on, into a better way of life; then what life used to be…before the trial began.
Second…we need to remain active and continue to press on in life. Sitting around and focusing on the problem isn’t going to make it any better…and we must also realize that there is nothing we can do about the problem, when God has it. We know that when God is finished putting everything into its rightful place; then He will let us know…so why should we make ourselves vulnerable to negative thinking, when we can be uplifted, by simply pressing on, from one day into the next.
Today, you may still be waiting for a response from God, due to a very difficult circumstance in your life. May I encourage you to wait peacefully on God, while reading His word and remaining focused on the hope that can keep you pressing onward? I truly believe that when we are willing to leave the problem with God…a time will come, when He will step into the waiting room; to let us know that all things have been made new!
Blessings so much on your day!

“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:” Romans 5:3-4
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” I Thessalonians 5:18
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
Hello everyone…and a big welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I just want you all to know how happy I am that you are with me today! I pray that no matter what you may be facing; that you will truly come to see that you can praise God and find peace in the midst of your storm!
As we prepare to celebrate another Thanksgiving Day, some of us may find it difficult to see anything good or worthy of praise, due to a present circumstance…or even due to the loss of someone that was once very close to us. The weight of a difficult trial can make us feel as if the heaviness of a heart that is so broken; can’t even begin to find the strength to raise hands to the God of this universe.
Through my own long and drawn out moments of affliction, I eventually did come to see that praising God in the midst of a trial does serve a purpose. For one thing…when we can truly praise God in the midst of a trial; then we are acknowledging a God whose power is greater than the trial…and through those thoughts we come to see that this is the greatest opportunity to experience the powerful hand, of a mighty God upon us, which in the end gives us a reason to praise Him.
Second…when we can praise God in the midst of difficult times; then this heart of praise becomes a weapon that can destroy the works of darkness. Think of it this way…when Satan afflicts us…what kind of response do you feel he is waiting to hear? Could it be a heart of complaint? One thing I’m sure of…Satan is not waiting to hear us praise God in the midst of a trial.
When I was younger, I remember watching… “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” If you remember…the Grinch had a plan to steal all the Christmas gifts…goodies and decorations that were up for Christmas in Whoville. After doing so…he went back home and decided to see if he could find joy in seeing all their disappointed faces; but to his surprise, the people of Whoville began to sing and dance and celebrate Christmas anyway. In a similar way, this is Satan’s plan…for he longs to not only afflict us; but to also take away the joy we once had for living…and even more, the joy we have for God.
No circumstance we face is ever going to be easy to walk through…believe me, I know; but one thing I’ve come to see over time; is that even though Satan may afflict us...that doesn’t mean that we have to allow the circumstance to make us distant, from the God we need the most…and this is exactly what we’re doing, when we let the circumstance pull us down and away from God.
There is one thing that has helped me for the longest time; and that is to look at my situation and ask myself, as to how Satan would want me to respond to this time of affliction. Most times, I’m convinced that he would want me to complain and lose heart; so instead of allowing that to have preeminence over my life; I choose to praise God in the midst of the storm. I find that when I have a real and true heart of praise for God during these difficult times; then no matter what has come my way…it will never be able to steal the joy that God has placed within my heart…and instead of being brought down to a lower level…I find that God takes hold of my hands of praise and lifts me to a higher plateau.
No matter what you may be facing right now…stop…take a deep breath and rethink the situation all over again…and I’m sure that you too will come to see that praising God will not only lift your spirits, while facing these difficult times; but I also think that you will come to see how praise can truly become the most power weapon, to ward off the works of darkness!
Blessings so much on your day!

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”
2 Corinthians 4:17
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” I Peter 5:10
“Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;” Psalm 30:11
“Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.” Mark 11:23
Hello everyone…and a big welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that you are truly experiencing God in your day and even more; I pray that you will come to live with the hope; that these troubles we face, will not last forever!
You know…the moments of affliction that enter our lives, can make us feel as if they will never leave. It seems like the symptoms of our problems continue to convey thoughts that keep us stuck within the walls of our circumstance…and when we can’t see anything good, except for the awful moments we’re facing; then we begin to feel suffocated within these walls, until we find ourselves giving into the thoughts that have finally seemed to convince us of no hope.
If we could only see that these moments of affliction are a process with God… a process that’s leading us away from the weakness that was first used by Satan, to put us where we are at the time; then we would find it easier to journey with God, until He brings us through these trying times in our lives.
I will never forget the long and drawn out years of pain and deep heartache I experienced! These moments were so overpowering at times; that I definitely thought that they were here to stay. It wasn’t until later; that I began to see a process taking place, which I like to call a “spiritual boot camp.” During this time, I could see where God was not only clearing out the clutter of my past; but He was also taking me through a process, where He was teaching me about life all over again…and until everything that needed to be removed was removed…and until everything that needed to be repaired was fixed and put back in its rightful place…the process continued on; but just because this process was a long and drawn out event in my life…it never was meant to stay.
We must remember that whatever God allows within our lives; is not meant to stick around forever; but rather, it is meant to repair or strengthen the weak areas in our lives that God longs to make stronger. Look at it this way…when a storm is brewing on the horizon, it eventually makes its way to where we are. The rain may pour down…the winds may be strong and the skies dark…but a time does come, when the storm moves on and everything becomes clear and sunny again. Well…in a similar way; this is what happens when the circumstances that enter our lives becomes a fierce storm. The tears of rain may pour deep within the heart, while the darkness surrounds us; but as soon as the storm of circumstance has passed through…a new dawn will appear before us and the sunshine of God’s presence, will be felt even more within our lives.
No matter what you are walking through right now…and no matter how fierce the storm may seem; just know that whatever God is allowing within your life…for whatever reason it may be…this too shall pass…and God will NEVER be a defeated God in your life; so just wait out the storm and when the storm has moved on; you will truly begin to see the reason for the storm, which will cause your heart to rejoice, in a God who never fails or forsakes His own! Praise Him!!
Many blessings on your day…
