“I am holding you by your right hand—I, the Lord your God—and I say to you, don’t be afraid; I am here to help you.”
“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
“And if you leave God’s paths and go astray, you will hear a voice behind you say, “No, this is the way; walk here.” Isaiah 30:21
Hello everyone! Happy New Year’s Eve and welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…thru the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so glad that you stopped by today and my prayer for you; is that you will find the strength, to take hold of the One, who can safely walk you into another New Year!
You know…for some, another New Year is a time of dread and fear…a time, when they feel as though the excess baggage from the previous year, will now be carried into another new year, while they wonder if life will ever be different…and I’m sure that there are others, who struggle to enter another New Year because the past year was so difficult; that they can’t even begin to imagine a year, where something could actually go right.
One thing I have come to see; is that a New Year can become even better and brighter than the previous year, when we first learn to take hold of the One, who already knows the way and the journey; that we will take, from one day into another. Entering a New Year on our own…without God leading the way, will only cause us to fear the unknown moments ahead, while we attempt to figure out which path will keep us free from the problems that attempt to enter our lives.
With every step we have taken in life, we now face a giant step before us…a step that will lead us into a brand new chapter of our lives. We don’t know what’s ahead…and we don’t know where this new path may lead us; so we begin to fear the unknown moments that lie ahead of us, which makes it that much harder to walk into another New Year.
Today, we must remember that even though we may face new obstacles and uncertain paths before us; God will be there, to hold of our hand and lead us one step further away from these difficult moments. Even though some of the paths may seem darkened by a trial…with God close by, He will become the light of hope that will brighten these dark and dismal paths.
No one can know what’s ahead but God and this is one of the reasons why we need to take hold of God’s hand and let Him lead us into this New Year. Think of it in this way…when a child is young and does not know the way thru life yet; they tend to hold tightly to their father or mother’s hand, while staying very close to their side. In a similar way…what a comfort to know; that at the time, when we just don’t know the way before us; there is a God, who will let us take hold of His hand, while staying very close to His side. In this way, we will always know that we are headed in the direction that He longs for us to walk in.
In Isaiah 41:13…one of our Bible references for the day; we read… “I am holding you by your right hand—I, the Lord your God—and I say to you, don’t be afraid; I am here to help you.” The only way we are going to experience God’s help and guidance…and the only way we are going to be free from dread and fear, as we enter this brand New Year; is to know that God is here for us…to help us and walk us down these unknown and uncertain paths.
The path ahead…into this brand New Year, may seem narrow, with obstacles thrown in our way by Satan; but when we can continue to press on, with our eyes focused on the prize, while letting God be the light that can safely guide us thru the dark and uncertain moments of life; then we will be able to walk into another New Year with great anticipation, as we long to see where God will lead us next, on this journey thru 2018.
Happy New Year everyone!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17
Hello everyone! Happy Christmas Eve…and welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…thru the Risen Hope Ministries! Before I begin, I would like to wish everyone, a very Merry Christmas…from the Risen Hope Ministries…and I pray that you will truly find Jesus, to be your greatest gift this Christmas!
You know…Christmastime seems to be a time, when my heart especially goes out to those who are facing great moments of trial. I’m sure that there will be some who will not be home for Christmas this year…like those in the hospital or even our military, while others in this world continue to face hard times, which only makes it that much more difficult to find a reason to celebrate Christmas.
These moments of great trial can cause us to lose hope, in ever walking out of these difficult moments…and believe me when I say; that I truly understand moments such as these. I have come to see numerous times; that hope can easily fall from us, as the trial continues to walk us down these darkened paths.
No matter what you may be facing today, I would like to give you a gift, from my heart to yours this Christmas and it’s a gift of hope that will never fade away…a gift of hope that continues to shine, in the darkest times. This gift of hope came into the world thousands of years ago and the light of its presence has never once flickered out.
As we think back to the time when Jesus was born into this world, we see shepherds and kings that bowed down before Him, as a great host of angels rejoiced within the heavens. This was one of the greatest moments in history; because this wasn’t just an ordinary birth and an ordinary baby; but instead, it was a birth that would bring a light of hope back into a darkened world.
As we celebrate Christmas this year; let’s lay aside all other gifts and open the one that can truly breathe life back into us…a gift that is like no other…and like the angels…let us praise the One, who has come to us…the One who has become our gift of hope; that we may not have to walk thru darkness alone.
Today, you may be going thru a difficult time in your life and your path may seem so dark; that you can’t find your way out of these difficult moments. You may be alone this Christmas or you may not have much. Don’t worry my friend because Jesus longs to give you the best Christmas you could ever have. In fact, He’s already provided the gift…all you have to do is open up the gift He has so loving and freely given to you and allow it to shine within your darkness.
You know…a materialistic gift first brings joy to our hearts; but with time, the gift begins to fade into the background of our lives, as it becomes older or even broken down; but the gift of hope that has been given by a loving Savior, will never fade with time; but will always be there for us, to bring light and warmth, unto a pathway that can sometimes seem so dark and lonely.
The question I have for you now; is will you take hold of this gift that is being given to you so freely, thru Jesus Christ? Let this be the best Christmas you could ever have and take hold of the gift of hope. I know from experience; that once you open this gift of hope…life will never be the same, as you begin to experience the reason, for why this lowly babe came into the world...so many Christmas’ ago!
Blessings on your Sunday & Merry Christmas!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
“And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.”
Hello everyone! Happy Sunday and welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…thru the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so glad that you were able to stop by today for a visit and my prayer for you; is that you will find a new piece of hope to take with you, when you leave the site!
You know…it’s hard to believe that Christmas is only a week from tomorrow! I’m sure that many of us are getting excited, as we all prepare to celebrate Jesus’ birthday; but one thing that I have already been reminded of…that truly has made this Christmas very special for me; is just knowing that Jesus not only came into this world as a babe; but He also came into this world…to change the world and bring hope to us.
We must realize today; that following Jesus isn’t always an easy task…just like it wasn’t easy for Mary and Joseph…and even Jesus Himself! Anyone who chooses to follow Jesus is always going to face the opposition, which is Satan; but the hope that I have come to take hold of…is knowing that Jesus’ birth has changed everything…so we no longer have to walk a darkened path, to a pit of total defeat. Praise Him for that!!
You know…it’s so easy to read the Nativity story in the Bible and see it as a beautiful story…which it is; but if we were to look deeper into this story; then we would come to see that the journey that Mary and Joseph took was never easy. In fact, I’m sure that many obstacles entered their path…just to keep Jesus’ birth from taking place.
I have come to see that God had a great plan for His Son’s birth and even though Mary…Joseph and baby Jesus went thru some very trying times; God was there all along, to walk them thru these darkened moments of their journey, into the true plan He had for their lives. Now if God did that for them…so He could change this world and bring hope…forgiveness and salvation to all mankind; then why wouldn’t He ever take the time, to walk us thru our own darkened moments of circumstance…so He could bring about better things within our lives too?
God is reminding me right now; that our love for Him may take us down some very hard and narrow paths; but just as He allowed His Son’s birth to take place, in the midst of a difficult journey; God will also bless us and crown the efforts we put forth, with His success, as His plan is made complete…in and thru us.
In Luke 1:30, of our Bible reading…it says… “And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.” When the angel said those words to Mary; it was as though he was saying to Mary that God had not only chosen her, to carry out His plan; but He had also found favour in her. In other words…God knew that Mary had what it would take, to endure what was ahead of her. We must remember that no matter what path God allows us to walk down…He never allows us to go down that path, unless He knows first that we can walk thru it safely with Him.
Let’s face it…this world isn’t getting better and the struggles seem to be increasing; but that is when we are either going to turn to God and allow Him to walk us through these times or not.
Even though the journey that Mary and Joseph took wasn’t an easy one…much was accomplished…not only thru Jesus’ birth but thru a death that would forever bring hope to the world…a hope that could truly walk us away from the darkened paths that Satan would attempt to walk us down.
No matter what you may be facing today; just know that God would not allow you to walk this difficult path, if first; He didn’t feel that you could make it with Him. Turn to a God, who not only has brought hope to you…thru the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ…but a God who will do the same for you, as He did for Mary and Joseph on that first Christmas…many years ago; a Christmas that would change this world forever.
Blessings on your Sunday!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” Matthew 1:21-23
Hello everyone and welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…thru the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that you’re having a good Sunday and that God will truly touch all of our hearts, as we spend some quiet moments alone with Him today!
You know…the circumstances we face in this life, can truly relay a message to us of no hope. We can become so caught up, in the symptoms of our physical and emotional needs; that before we know it, we have entered a place, where we lose complete hope.
As I was sitting here today…thinking on what God would have me share with you; He took me back to a time…thousands of years ago…to a place where His birth brought hope, into the midst of the world’s darkness.
For many years, many people waited for the birth of the Messiah and now that He has come and given His all for us, we still seem to find ourselves sinking beneath the muck and mire of our problems…giving up and never really looking beyond them, for the gift of hope that Jesus so longs to offer us.
I don’t know about you; but I find it helpful at times, to just sit back…relax and think back to these moments, when Jesus truly became everything, for all of us. It’s amazing how the overwhelming moments of despair can begin to fade into the background of our lives, while the light of God’s presence begins to reveal the hope that He gave to us, so many years ago.
I wonder why we choose to allow our problems to take us down, when Jesus has actually given us a reason to praise Him, even in the midst of the problem? Yes…we may suffer pain and deep heartache; but we must also remember the hope that came into this world…so many years ago…a hope that should give us a reason, to sing praises to Him this Christmas and all year round.
Just think what it would be like, to walk thru the darkness of a circumstance, with no hope…and that is what definitely would have happened, if Jesus would have never come into this world. Now that thought alone, would give us a reason to sit in the muck and mire of despair; but I have news for you today…that didn’t happen; so there is no excuse for us to wallow down…beneath the weight of our problems.
As we begin to celebrate Christmas this year, why don’t we make this a time, to clean out the clutter within the heart and make room for Jesus? Once we choose to sweep out the cobwebs of the past and dismantle the thoughts and feelings that keep us stuck within those dark rooms of the heart; then I truly believe that joy will open up the windows of the heart; so the Holy Spirit can once more enter and remain within the heart…to comfort us…help us and heal us.
Today, let’s begin anew and turn our moments of despair into joy! This Christmas let a heart of praise shout out… “Joy to the world…because our Lord has come to us…to be everything, for everything we need! I know that when we choose to rejoice and focus on the hope that has already been given to us, we will not only have a good Christmas; but we will always have a reason to keep pressing on…despite the problems that stand before us! Praise God!!
Blessings on your Sunday!
