Blessings in Disguise...

Bible readings...
“By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3) And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4) And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5) And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Romans 5:2-5

Hello everyone and welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so happy that you found us today and my prayer for you; is that…for whatever reason God has led you here…that you will truly discover all that He longs to bless your heart with today!

You know…it’s so easy for us to be hit head on by a circumstance and immediately see it, as though it’s out to take us down for good. To me…it’s just like having the flu. We try to avoid getting sick; but once the bug has hit us…we immediately envision the worst.

Do we ever stop to think that maybe the best things in life could be discovered through the most difficult times? When we look back to other characters in the Bible…especially Job…the blessing never came, until the lesson was learned.

I don’t know about you; but I have found God to be the closest, through a sleepless night of pain…and when my heart is overwhelmed and filled with anxiety from the day; that is when I find myself asking for God’s peace…a peace that can remove these restless moments and bring a calmness over my mind and body.

You know...I remember a time in my life, when I actually had to go into instant rewind with God. In other words…God had to take me back to the moments, when I had stopped growing and maturing, due to the painful moments of sexual abuse and a dysfunctional home life. In fact, it was as though we had gone back to where I had left off together; so He could bring me forward and begin anew, with the life that He had truly planned for me, since the day He created me.

One thing I can truly say to you today; is that these were some of the most painful moments in my life…but these were also the moments that brought about so much more; then what I had already been through. I have learned so much and I have grown so much; but it was the moments of tears and deep heartache; that actually pushed me in the direction…to where I was actually supposed to be in life.

You see…when we experience deep heartache or we feel alone or we’re in great pain; these become the moments, when we are more tempted to call out to God or look to His word for help…and while we are doing so; we are also discovering new things that eventually produce new growth. If you were to look at my Bible right now…you’d probably wonder what happened. Well…what happened; is that God’s word actually became my survival manual…a lifeline that kept me closely connected to Him, when I felt as though the troubled waters were about to overtake me.

You know…sometimes it’s not always easy to understand God’s ways and why He allows the painful moments to enter our lives. Moments such as these can make us feel as if we have been left alone in the dark; but if we could just take our thoughts away from the darkness that’s surrounding us and start looking for the reason, as to why God has allowed these dark moments to enter our lives; then we would soon find that we are now beginning to move in a direction, where God can reveal His plan and purpose, through these difficult moments of affliction.
Blessings on your Sunday!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
