“So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.” Matthew 20:16
“I have been forgotten like one who is dead; I have become like a broken vessel.”
“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6
“It is a broken spirit you want—remorse and penitence. A broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not ignore.” Psalm 51:17
Hello everyone! Happy Sunday and welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…thru the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so glad that you found us today and my prayer for you; is that you will truly find a piece of hope to hold to…a hope that will connect you to a powerful God, rather than a weak circumstance!
You know…we can experience moments in our lives, when we feel as if God has forgotten us. Maybe we don’t see ourselves as something good or worthy of His help. One thing I would like to say, from my own experience; is that God doesn’t look at the one, who may seem strong on their own; but rather, He is looking at the one, who has admitted that they can no longer handle their situation on their own.
I have come to see within my own life; that God cannot help anyone who has pride in their life and is always attempting to be strong on their own because this type of person is so stuck on their own thoughts…plans and ideas; that there is no room for God to step in and help them. Just like Matthew 20:16, in our reading for today says… “So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.”
If only we could just let go of everything that is broken in our lives and realize that we cannot even begin to put together the broken pieces that are so shattered. Let’s face it…we need someone who is greater than ourselves…someone who can know how to rebuild us and make us into something stronger…someone who can make us less fragile…someone, who can teach us how to become strong enough to share that same strength given to us, with others around us.
Have you ever had something go wrong in your day; but then you find a solution to the problem…something that will help you not to experience the same problem again…in fact, something that makes you want to share this solution with others you know? This is exactly what God wants to do for us; but first, we must be willing to let go of ourselves and let someone greater step in and give us that solution and I know from experience; that when we allow God to work in this way; then we will not only want to praise Him for the great things He has done within our own lives; but we will also find an excitement to share what God has done, with others around us.
Today, may I encourage you, to not only trust God for the broken moments in your life; but to also let Him take each broken piece of your life and let it be used for Him. You know…the way I see it; is that we have two choices. We can either allow the problem to abuse us, as we try to stay strong on our own or we can take the broken pieces of our lives and lay them at the feet of the only One, who can bring them back together…in a way, where they can work in a very great way for Him. Once we are willing to humbly do this; then from there…we will come to see how a great…loving and powerful God, is willing to stoop down to our level and truly love and care for us.
Blessings on your Sunday!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
