Hello everyone and welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that your day has been going well and most of all…I pray that you will truly feel and experience the hand of God upon you today, as we spend these precious moments alone with Him!

Today, can we actually say that we truly belong to God? In other words, do we connect with Him…share our lives with Him and most of all…give Him the room He needs, to work and complete our lives…according to His will and His desire?

I truly believe that when God enters our lives; that we begin a journey with Him; that will eventually lead us to Heaven. As we walk the different paths with Him, we soon discover that these paths aren’t always smooth and easy to walk down; but rather, they are narrow, with obstacles in the way. One thing we know for sure is this…if we are willing to take hold of God’s hand, rather than the hand of these problems that are entering our path; then we will be safely led out of these difficult moments; but the question we need to ask ourselves today is this; can we let go of our problems and the control they have over us; to trust God enough, to take care of us?

I believe that the true test of our faith and trust in God begins, when the circumstance is attempting to convince us that we won’t make it; but yet, we are willing to love God and press on…no matter what may come our way. When we can love God…I mean truly love Him through the bad times; then I believe that this love will reveal a trust that says… “Nothing looks good right now; but God’s got it!”

We might as well realize one thing today…God will never be able to work in our lives, until we take our hands off of the problem and give everything…including our lives over to Him. You see…God has to have it all; so He can take each broken moment and do a great work that only a powerful God can do and if we aren’t giving ourselves completely to Him…along with the problem; then how is this ever going to happen? In other words…we can’t pray and ask for God’s help and then hold tightly to our problem, like it’s a security blanket.

One thing we need to remember today; is that Jesus…God’s Son, gave Himself completely to us at the cross, through a death that not only revealed love and forgiveness…but sacrifice too. Can we say that we are willing to take ourselves back to the cross and lay everything completely before Him?

There was a time…quite a while back, when I went to the cemetery, where my grandfather was buried. As I dealt with one of the most painful moments in my life…sexual abuse, I remember sitting on a stump…trying to find a way to forgive him, for what he had done to me, at around 5 years of age. As I sat there near his grave, I knew in my heart that God wanted me to forgive him; but if you’ve ever been faced with something like this; I can honestly say that it’s not that easy. After sitting for a while on that stump…talking with God, I began to sing… “I surrender all…I surrender all…all to Thee my blessed Savior…I surrender all.”

You know…I had to realize that the only way my life was going to be free from the past, was if I totally surrendered everything completely over to God. I knew that I couldn’t press on and I would only remain where I was forever, if I never handed everything over to Him; so as I sang this song, I began to let go of it all and when I left the cemetery, I told myself that I would never return…but instead, press on with God and allow Him to work completely in my life.

No matter what you’re facing today and no matter how difficult life may seem; it’s never going to get better, until you let go. Just let it go…let go and let God have it all and I know that once you truly trust God to handle your problem; that life will begin to turn around, in a way that shows that a loving and powerful God…completely has control over your life!
Blessings on your Sunday!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
