Hello everyone and a big welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so happy to have you with me today and my prayer for you; is that you will come to see how life can be easier…with fewer struggles…just by letting God lead the way!
I think sometimes we struggle so much with life’s problems because we are walking down these dangerous and difficult paths alone…where we become vulnerable to the ways of evil. I like to look at it this way…a problem to me, actually becomes a path that can lead us into unknown territory…a place, where we can become an open target to Satan and his ways…but when we allow God to lead the way and personally walk us through these difficulties in life; then I truly believe that He will be the shield that protects us, from the fiery darts that Satan attempts to further wound us with.
I remember many times in my past, when I chose to walk through the heartbreaking moments of my life alone. In some way, I thought God was there; but as I look back…there was no way that He could have been welcomed into those trying moments of my life because life got increasingly worse, as I walked down paths that we so dark…to the place, where I feared other obstacles that may have been ahead of me.
One thing I have come to see; is that when we are being led by God through these difficult times, rather than walking alone; then His light will be there, to brighten the path ahead…and there will be a settled feeling within us; that we are not alone.
There was a time, when I had gone to a youth outing at my church, as a teenager and one thing they did that night, was to have a scavenger hunt in the dark. As I walked down this darkened path through the woods...someone ran up to me and my friends and mentioned that they had found the next clue. Well…everyone got excited and ran ahead and left me in the dark, with no flashlight or anything…and since I couldn’t run…due to my knee problems; I just stood in the darkness of that woods all alone, with not one clue, as to how I was going to get back to camp.
As tears began to flow down my cheeks…I knew that God had read the thoughts and feelings that had been etched upon my heart; because within a few minutes…my brother and his friend caught up with me…and from there, I was safely led out of the darkness of that woods.
In a similar way…we too, can be overwrought by a problem that we’re facing. We can feel as if that problem has left us in the darkness, with no light to help us walk out of that darkness. Many times, we just sit there in the darkness and give up…but what we don’t realize at the time; is that just sitting there in the darkness is never going to get us out of that darkness.
We must realize that if we are ever going to be led to a place, where we can reach the other side of the trial we’re facing; then we are going to need to take hold of the One who already knows the way out. You know…even though we can’t come out of these trying times on our own; that doesn’t mean that there isn’t someone greater, who can help us out…and today, we need to let go of ourselves and take hold of the One, who can safely walk us out of the wilderness of despair…into the light of a new path…a path that will bring us safely into the very best that God has for each of us!
Blessings on your day!
