Leaning on Everlasting Arms of Strength...

Bible readings...
“The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.” Deuteronomy 33:27
“I will be your God throughout your lifetime—until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.” Isaiah 46:4

Hello everyone…and a big welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so happy that you stopped by today and my prayer for all of us; is that we won’t suffer needlessly, by leaning on our own thoughts and ways; but rather, we will turn to the One who is strong enough, to hold us up, during the difficult and trying times of our lives!

How is it that we choose to lean on a weak and broken down circumstance, rather than a strong and loving God? I have come to see that when we choose to follow in the way of a circumstance and focus tightly on every detail of that problem; then we are also attempting to lean in its direction.

Why do we attempt to lean on broken moments of weakness…a weakness that is only leading us to a fall?  Don’t we realize that the crutches of weakness and despair can break any moment and lead us further down…to a place, where it seems almost impossible to get up again?

I remember a time in my life, when I was struggling with many issues of the past. I had tried to hang onto my broken down life, for quite some time…hoping that everything would go away and fade into the background of my life; but a moment came, when those crutches of weakness and despair broke and I found myself literally on the floor…hopeless, with nothing more to live for. One thing I did come to see through those moments of deep despair; is that when we are alone…trying to muddle through the problem on our own; then we definitely do have everything in life to fear; but on the other hand, when we choose to lean on God; then we find ourselves safe and secure, in His everlasting arms of love and strength.

Through time, I came to see that the dark and dismal moments of circumstance can lead us to a brighter path, when we are leaning on a God, whose strength can walk us away from darkness and into the perfect light of His peace; but in order for this to happen, we must first be willing to let go of everything except for God. When we choose to put our weaknesses upon Him, rather than working hard, to lean on something that isn’t strong enough to keep us standing; then we will find that we can be led out of the dark and dismal moments of circumstance.

No matter what you may be facing today, just know that your problem isn’t going to take you anywhere in life, except for further down. If you’re tired of the pain and heartache you’re going through; then let go of it and take hold of a God, who will let you lean on Him completely, until He has safely walked you out of these moments of deep despair.

As you prepare to start another new week, I pray that you will find God’s strength, to be a strength that can actually carry you through the trying times of your life!
Take care & many blessings on your week ahead!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
