“I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.” Psalm 63:8
“Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.” Isaiah 49:16
“Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.” Psalm 139:10
“Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close.”
Hello everyone…and a big welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I want you to know that I am so glad that you stopped by for a visit today…and my prayer is that we all will truly feel the closeness of God’s presence in our lives, as we spend these precious moments together!
Why do we choose to hang onto a thread that’s about to break, when we could just let go of everything and fall into the arms of Jesus? Sometimes, I stop and think to myself, as to why we would ever want to hold onto moments of suffering in this way, rather than choosing to experience a love and peace that can truly hold us close to God…a love and peace that can take us to a place, where all is calm and at rest within.
As I look back on my life; I will never forget the exhausting and emotionally drained moments, when I just wouldn’t let go of the hurt in my life. To be honest with you…I think that I was afraid to let go…thinking that it would all come crashing down on me, while yet never realizing that the thread of hope that I was holding to, was about to take me down to the bottom of a deep pit of despair.
You know…if I would have realized at the time; that I only needed to hold tightly to God, rather than the circumstances that attempted to take over my life; then I’m sure that I would have saved myself, from the extra moments of deep heartache and pain; that actually became needless moments of suffering.
Many times, I’ve often wondered why we as humans feel the need to have control over our own lives…especially, when a powerful God lives within us. Is it that we haven’t come to the place; where we truly feel that we can trust God, to handle these needs we’re holding tightly to? For me, I was always a person that never wanted to feel left in the dark, over certain situations in my life; but over time, I came to see that I would have never had to feel left in the dark, if I would have only allowed the sunshine of God’s presence, to enter these awful moments I once faced.
You know…hanging by a thread of circumstance can seem real scary. Here we are…hanging over a cliff of despair, with only what’s left of the problem to hold to. As we look down below us, we see arms reaching out, with a voice that is saying… “Let go and fall into My arms;” but yet, we seem to be too busy looking at what could happen, if those arms aren’t able to hold us up.
The thing we need to do today; is to get our focus away from where the problem could possibly lead us and focus on a God, who’s mighty in strength and power. I truly believe that when we can do this; then we will find the strength to let go of everything in our lives, except for God.
No matter what you may be facing in your life right now…let it all go and fall into the arms of a God, who can hold you close and love you through it all.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
