Hello everyone…and a big welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…thru the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that you’re having a good day and that you will truly experience the depth of God’s presence before this day ends!
As many of you may already know…I’ve been facing a tough week of chronic pain and weakness in my legs. First of all…I want to thank God from the bottom of my heart, for the strength He has given me this week; so I could press on and continue to reach out to others in need!
You know…one thing I experienced myself this past week; are the feelings that seem to accompany the circumstances that enter our lives. These circumstances we face have a way of bringing about a fear that can make us wonder how we will ever escape these difficult moments, while hopelessness begins to make us believe that God’s light has gone out for good, while we find ourselves lost in the dark moments of circumstance.
I don’t know what you’re facing today and like me…I don’t know how long God will allow these moments to remain in our lives; but I do know one thing…God will never abandon us or leave us stuck in this muck and mire of despair.
The thought that always seems to bring peace to my mind and heart, while walking through the difficult times; is knowing that if God was willing to give up His dearest Son, Jesus Christ…just to reveal His true love and care for us; then why would He ever stop there, when it comes to helping us overcome these difficult times. We must remember that God has a reason and purpose behind each thing He allows within our lives and if He didn’t; then there would be no need for these moments of trial.
The other day, as I was spending some time alone, I found myself talking to God and I said to Him… “Ok Lord, I know you have a reason and purpose behind all of this pain and weakness; but what is it?” You know…how many times are we going to experience needless moments of suffering…only because we never take the time to seek the reason and purpose, for which God is allowing these moments to enter our lives? Maybe…just maybe, we would suffer less, if only we would meet heart to heart with God, at the place of the problem; where we could come to understand His reasoning behind the problem.
I remember many times in the past, when I felt as though God had forsaken me and abandoned me, during some very difficult times; but yet today, I find myself sitting here…serving God, while those problems have now become a thing of the past. Now just think…if we could see how God stepped in and brought us through other times of despair; then wouldn’t that give us hope; that God will not leave us where we are today?
One thing I would like to say to you, as we close our time together…is never give up because when a person gives up; then that is when they truly miss out, on all that God longs to do through the problem. If you can just remember that God is there in the background of your life…working on your behalf…and if you can just focus on moments, when God was once there for you; then you will find a piece of hope to lean on…a hope that won’t break or disappoint you; but rather, a hope that will lead you, to what God is about to do in your life.
Have a great Sunday & blessings on your day!
