Hello everyone and welcome this week, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that your Sunday is off to a good start and my prayer today; is that we will discover a perfect and lasting peace; that can ease the mind and heart, of whatever we may be facing today.
Whenever I think of God’s perfect peace…I think of it, as something that God rubs on our hurting hearts; to ease the pain of whatever we are going through. I don’t know about you; but I have had times in the past, when I prayed and prayed for peace; so I could find relief from a hurting moment in my life; but for some reason, I never found it; but now as I look back on those moments, I now realize that I only asked for peace; but never anticipated it with my heart. You know…I think we can find it so easy to pray for peace; but do we truly believe that there is a perfect peace that can ease the pain of a broken heart…along with a hurting body and soul?
I would say that within the past few years especially, I have truly discovered and tasted more of God’s perfect peace. One thing I learned through it all; is that we not only need to ask God for His peace; but we need to believe that there is a peace that can ease the pain within us and bring relief and calmness, to the raging storms within us.
I remember a time, when I had really had a rough day…pain included. As I went to lay down on the daybed in my office…with the lights dimmed, I began to pray for peace and not only pray; but anticipate it’s presence within me. Within a short time, it was as if someone had taken a sprinkling can and had poured little droplets of peace on me. As I could picture each drop of peace falling down around me; these moments began to make me feel as if I was truly getting some relief, from a very overwhelming day.
You know…there’s nothing like a dose of God’s perfect peace, to cover up the pain of a hurting heart. As God’s peace falls down around us; the heavy load begins to feel lighter, as a sigh of relief is felt deep within our spirits.
There are people that pray for peace, while others sing about peace; but are we only speaking words with no meaning…or are following after our words, while we pursue the moments of relief that only God’s peace can offer us.
Today, you may be facing chronic pain and illness, which I know from experience, can be very difficult to get through…or maybe you’ve lost your job or you’re dealing with a personal problem. No matter what you’re facing, just know that you don’t have to continue suffering needlessly. Just because God has allowed these moments into your life; that doesn’t mean that He can’t give you relief and make the load lighter.
As we close …I pray that God will shower us all, with a perfect peace that can bring a lasting relief…a peace that doesn’t have to be repeated every four hours; but a peace that’s eternal and everlasting.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
