“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
“Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.” 2 Timothy 4:17
Hello everyone…and a big welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so glad that you were able to stop by for a visit today…and my prayer for you; is that you will come to see how you don’t have to be strength for yourself, when there is a God that is rich in power and strength!
How many times do we attempt to be strong on our own, especially while facing a difficult trial? It seems like we drain ourselves, of what little strength we have left, while trying to achieve a strength that only Christ can offer us.
I remember many times in my life, when I felt as if I had to be strong on my own. The only bad thing about that; is that we exhaust ourselves, while attempting to gain a strength; that will take us nowhere. How is it that we feel the need to remain that strong, when we really don’t have to?
One thing I’ve truly come to see; is that God would never allow us to go through anything…great or small, if He didn’t have enough strength to give us for the journey. I know one thing…when I was going through some of the deepest and darkest moments of my past; I would become so deeply focused on every detail of my problem; that before I knew it, I had myself convinced that I would never be strong enough to go through it…and you know what…I was actually right because I wouldn’t be strong enough, to go through these difficult times on my own. I would need a strength that would supersede my weaknesses…and that was definitely not going to be found in myself…only God.
The one thing I have definitely learned, through my past experiences of pain and heartache; is that sometimes a person has to go down, into the bottom of a pit of despair…before they actually reach up, for a strength that can lift them out of that pit of despair. It’s amazing…how the lessons learned within our lives, can actually point us in God’s direction.
If we are ever going to make it through these troubling times; then we are going to have to come to a place in our lives, where we realize that the only strength that is going to see us through; is God’s strength. We know that Satan isn’t more powerful than God…but he is powerful and in order that we overcome these moments of weakness; we are definitely going to need a strength that will lift us up and above despair; so turn to the only One, whose strength can be made perfect in weakness!
Many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
