Hello everyone…and a very happy Friday to you all! I truly pray that your day is going well…and even more, I pray that you will feel and experience the depth of God’s presence…no matter what you may be walking through at this time…AMEN!!
I’m sorry that I missed you yesterday; but I was down and off my feet, due to a lot of pain. I don’t normally do that; but this pain was unbearable and I could barely walk. In fact…I couldn’t eat and felt pretty much ill all day. You know…moments such as these can take a person down emotionally and even spiritually…to the place where they can’t quite keep up to the level of faith they once had; and as I sat in tears yesterday; this is where my mind and heart were headed. In fact…by last night, I felt as if I was barely holding onto the thread of hope that I had once held so tightly to. You know…we may have moments, when we stumble and fall out of sync with God; but the thing that God is reminding me of right now; is that we need to quit focusing on where we might have went wrong and get up…shake the circumstance from us and continue on. As I was spending some precious moments with God this morning; there is one thing He shared with my heart very deeply…and that is that we need to not go back into the past and find a good place to begin again…and we definitely don’t need to waste time trying to create new footprints to walk in…for this will only place us out of sync with God. When we can stand up at the place where we first fell and press on from there; then we are doing two things. First, we are showing Satan that we are not going to give up and give into his ways…and even more…we find that as we continue on; that this is where we can easily find God…right where we left off. This morning, as I was reading Philippians 3:14 (“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”); I was thinking on these past 24 hours and all that I have been through…and one thing I took away from this Bible verse, as I read it; is that we will never reach our goal of meeting Jesus and entering heaven, if we just sit in the middle of the road and give into our circumstances. Believe me when I say…that it is so easy to do that; but we must remember that even though we may be wounded on this journey; God’s strength can be the help we need, to help us place each foot forward…and when we choose to lean on His strength, rather than our weakness; that is when the journey will get easier. I’ve been through a lot in my life, as most of you know; but I think that the thing that has been the hardest for me to walk through is pain…because the desire is there to press on; but it’s the pain and what goes with the pain that seems to constantly remind me, as to how long and drawn out this journey can be. You know…I think that if we could just focus on the journey and share our thoughts and hearts with Jesus, as we walk step by step with Him; then the journey wouldn’t seem so lonely…and believe me when I say…that life’s journey does have a way of making us feel as if we are in a world of our own; but when we let Jesus come into that world…then I have come to see that the journey can be more pleasant…and on top of it all…what a friend to share that journey with. Today, you may be struggling through life. Maybe you have lost your job…or maybe you have lost someone close to your heart…or maybe you are like me…living with chronic pain and illness. Right now, let me give you a piece of hope…straight from the heart of God. Instead of giving up…why not give into Him and all He longs to share with you along this journey. Make Him your closest friend, just like I have…and never try to make life work on your own; but rather, let Him carry you through the hard times…and let Him also be the crutch for you to lean on…one that can safely take you towards a brighter dawn. Yes…these days we are living in are not always easy to get through; but I have come to see that when we get up…shake the circumstance from us…and once more take hold of the hand of God and press on; then we will find ourselves one step closer to Him…and one step away from the hardship that once took us down…Amen!! Have a very blessed day…and if you could use prayer; please feel free to contact me and I will promise you one thing…I will be praying for you! God bless! It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Comments are closed.
