God Will Never Give Up On You!

2/11/2021

Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Thursday to you all! I hope and pray that your week is going well…and that you will ALWAYS know that no matter what may come your way…God is ALWAYS there for you…Amen!!
You know…there is one thing that I’ve recently been reminded of…and that is how easily we can feel as if God has walked out on us, during the hard and difficult times of life. Moments such as these can make us feel isolated, in a world that only seems to include us and the circumstance…where all we see are moments that remind us of no hope…and from there; that is where we feel as if the God that was once with us, has now left our side and given up on us completely.
As a young girl…I remember many times, when I felt as if I was sitting on the sidelines of life, while life passed me by. Due to all the knee surgeries I was experiencing at the time; others seemed to grow tired of my situation…and from there, they walked away from me. In fact…there was even a time, when they hid from me…only to laugh at me, as I turned around and walked away. Moments like these can make us feel even worse, than what the circumstance has already made us feel; but one thing I have learned through a lot of loss and rejection; is that my God was the One that remained...and He stood by me and has been the dearest friend that I could ever have.
You know…I think that there can be times, when we feel rejected by God…or even forgotten by God; because we are counting on Him to fix our problems our way. As we look back to the cross, we see a time when Jesus also suffered…and I’m sure that this time of suffering must have taken a toll on Him; but He continued to remain faithful to His Father…and why; because His Father had a plan…just like He has a plan for each of our lives.
Today, I would like to encourage you with a verse from the Bible that God has used many times in my life…and it’s found in John 14:18 and we read… “No, I will not abandon you or leave you as orphans in the storm—I will come to you.” Just think…everyday God is being given a choice, as to whether He will remain close by or walk away from us…and through verses like these, we see that His choice is to come to us and draw near to us, during the difficult storms of life.
Out of the many things that I have come to see and experience, during this hard and difficult life of mine; is that the circumstances we face, not only bring about difficult and what seems to be unending moments of suffering; but they can also be used to deceive us and make us believe that God must have chosen to walk away…and why…because we just don’t seem to see anything happening…only the problems that are affecting us at the time.
The first thing we must remember, while facing our own moments of difficulty; is that Jesus never gave up on us at the cross, even while facing moments of extreme pain and suffering. Now, if He didn’t give up on us at the cross; then why would He ever give up on us now?
You know…I was thinking the other day…since Jesus never gave up on us at the cross; then maybe we shouldn’t give up on Him. Just because nothing has happened; doesn’t mean that He has stopped loving us or has walked away. In fact…I came to see within my own life; that a time does come, when He truly proves His love to us…in ways that we could have never imagined.
No matter what you may be facing right now…don’t feel that God has forgotten you; but rather, turn away from what is weighing you down…to seek His love and comforting spirit…one that can see you through the moments that may be attempting to deceive you into thinking that He is no longer there. One thing I know…once we are willing to let go of the hand of circumstance and take a tight grip on God’s hand; that is when we will always feel His presence close beside us, as He gradually walks us out of these moments of despair!
Have a great day with God…and always remember that He is truly closest to the one with the broken heart! (Psalm 34:18) God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
