This evening, God led me to a Bible verse in Job 14:7, which reads... "For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease."
How many times do we feel cut down by life? Moments like these can make us feel hopeless...as though there will never be a sign of life again. I completely understand this because I have been cut down many times in life; but one reminder God gave me recently was this... "Diane, I took the stump that was left...after being struck down in life and now...new life is springing up from that stump; for what Satan attempted to destroy, I am now rebuilding and you shall be a young tree; that will produce much for me."
We don't always understand these difficult moments that enter our lives...moments that can take us down to nothing; but one thing I do know...whatever God allows, is for a reason...and one thing we must remember; is that our God is not a defeated God and what was brought low, will rise again...only this time with Him...praise Him!
