June 30, 2019 | Rest for the weary

Exodus 33:14 reads..."The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
Are you going through some tough times right now, which can make it difficult to sleep? Last night...after a busy day on my feet, I was almost sick from the pain...but as I laid my head on the pillow, I began to ask God to take me under His loving wings...where there would be peace...and a place, where no evil could reach me...and just after I said that little prayer; I was fast asleep and I slept most of the night. 
You know...it's so easy to allow our problems to keep us awake at night. It seems like one thought leads to another...until we find our minds out of control. Once this sets in, we seem to find ourselves caught up in a web...where we are controlled by each deceptive thought. 
Tonight, as you rest...just let it all go into the heavens, where God can control...what evil is attempting to control you with. Once you let go...trust God and rest under His loving and compassionate wings; then you not only get rest; but you are also giving God a chance to work at the problem...so let go and rest in Him. Amen!
