Monday...Feb. 17, 2020 | A Hand that will Steady Us Along

2/17/2020

Hello everyone and a very happy and blessed Monday to you all! Well…it’s time to begin another new week! Are you ready to take hold of God’s hand and let Him walk you through each moment that lies ahead of you? I don’t know about you…but I am more than ready, to see where these footprints ahead will lead me…and I pray that we all will come to see…as we journey ahead; that God’s way is always the best way to travel…Amen!!
Yesterday morning, as Keith and I were spending some time alone with God; He once more began to speak to my heart…and this is what He relayed, from His heart to mine… “We can’t even walk through life, without holding God’s hand. The moments when we fall, only happen because we have let go of His hand.” What a great thought to meditate on! I just wonder how many of us truly take this for granted in our lives.
When I look at my life each day and the health issues that attempt to push me down…one thing I know…I cannot even begin to walk through my day, without His strong hand leading the way. In fact, there have been many times, when I have felt as if He truly is holding me up, so I can walk and remain strong on my feet.
Last night, as I was looking through some Bible verses; God led me to a Bible verse in Jeremiah 10:23…and we read… “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.”
I wonder how many times in life…we choose to try and create our own steps to walk in…steps of our own choosing? I have come to truly see throughout my life; that when I have chosen to walk down a different path, while attempting to create footprints of my own choosing; then I only find myself falling into more struggles that just makes my life even more difficult than before.
As I was thinking on the thought that God had placed upon my heart last night; I began to think back to a time, when I was a very young child…one that was just learning to walk. From what I was told…I would do just fine, when I was hanging onto someone’s hands; but when they let go…to see if I could make it a little ways on my own…that is when I fell on my behind. In a similar way…this is what happens, when we choose to let go of God’s hands. As a circumstance weakens us in spirit…we try to make it on our own; but very soon, we find out that we only keep falling down; but as we learn to take hold of God’s hands and let Him direct the way, we come to see that we are able to walk through these hard and difficult times of life. Let’s face it…we need God to steady us along through life’s weak and difficult moments…and the only way we are going to walk out of these moments of weakness; is to quit trying to make it on our own…and instead, let God lift these weak and broken spirits to their feet, while gently steadying us along…one step at a time.
Today, you may be facing some moments in your life that have taken you down. Maybe you have tried to stand to your feet and press on; but yet, the situation keeps pulling you down. May I encourage you today, to reach out for God’s helping hand…One that will lift you to your feet and steady you through these tough moments of life? One thing I have learned…over and over again; is that when I do this; then the trial does become easier to walk through. No matter what attempts to keep us down in life…I pray that this strong and loving God I serve, will always be there to steady us along…Amen!!
Well…time for me to begin this brand new day…and this brand new week! I pray that you will have a very special day…take care and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow!
Many…many blessings on your Monday!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
